Did anyone hear Al Gore on C-Span today?
If not you should find out when it's being rebroadcast and TAPE IT. It is the single most damning speech ever made about George W.

He calls the roll on Bush's lies and incompetence. The gloves are off.

2. Hrmmm. What was it called?
Cspan always shows the same thing on my Dish guide "Public Affairs". So I don't know what to look for to catch this.

3. Unfortunately, you just have to keep checking
on CSPAN or CSPAN2, if you have that, as they don't tell on the menu what they are showing.

4. Best DEM policy speech since FDR's New Deal. This one's a keeper.
He outlined the motivation, methodology, and outcomes of the far right Bush faction of the Republican Party, which is to say the entire Republican Party that supports him. Shame on you McCain and any other politician or leader who supports Bush. This was a devastating incitement. It is our blueprint to take back America! Al Gore walked tall today. He is the intellectual leader of our party, bar none.

THIS IS THE LINE DRAWN IN THE SAND

5. I second that. Everyone should see/hear Gore's speech.
He methodically and passionately ripped the shrubco admin apart. And he used facts to support everything he said.

Very powerful speech.

6. Fantastic !!
I watched it live on C-Span during my lunch break, while at the same time the other media prostitutes were giving free coverage to a retard.

This is one of the best and most substantive speeches I have heard from any politician.

7. It was really worth seeing. He really laid it out in plain language!
He made a point by point case of how B* is the most incompetent and dishonest President ever.

9. Text transcript?
I can't play streaming video at work, unfortunately. Does anyone know where there's a transcript?

I've always liked Al Gore, who was shamelessly, shamelessly robbed in the 2000 election. He's the sort of smart, thoughtful guy who ought to be leading the country. What a sad commentary on the state of our political culture, that great intelligence is a liability in a political candidate.

10. It was unbelievable! As usual Gore starts soft and then builds to the
most damning speech ever made about Bush and his power madness...

It's a must watch.. Hopefully one of the C-Spans will have it tonight, or it's online at their site.

11. Also...he got a "Standing Ovation" and the kids in the audience were
completely focused hearing him call out Bush on everything. 9/11 lead up where they ignored every bit of intelligence about it, and "pre-planning" Iraq with only input from their picked sources, plus NO PLAN for what would happen causing terrorists all over the world to want to come after us...Power hungry, greed driven people who don't know how to "Govern."

16. A Taste of Truth
I sat there listening to Al Gore today and couldn't help thinking to myself that this was probably the BEST speech I've ever heard him give.

When it was over I was thinking that this was probably the best speech I've ever heard ANYONE give!

Al Gore was amazing today! The entire speech kept building layer upon layer of righteous condemnation of the entire Bush administration. Every accusation was validated with facts, and each one was worse than the last.

I don't think I've heard anyone else (including John Kerry) construct a stronger case against giving this deluded president four more years to continue taking the United States along on his disastrous, headlong plunge into catastrophe.

My favorite line was when he said, (paraphrasing) 'The Bush adminstration represents a rarity in American politics. They are simultaneously dishonest and incompetent!'

Ultimately, I couldn't help but feel sad when he was done speaking, and couldn't help wondering what might have been, if not for COUP2K.

18. Thank you for posting
I missed it--if anyone knows when it will be re-aired, or when transcripts become available , please post. I agree with those completely about the stark contrast between the intelligence and compassion of Gore (and certainly Kerry) vs Bush, and am too sadly reminded of the awful election (non-election--rather appointment) of 2000 every time I hear or read Gore.
