Reeve's voicemail: Please clarify real story
Can someone clarify something for me though? What was the crap I heard on the radio about how Christopher Reeves was already in a coma when he was supposed to have left the voicemail message?

What's the real story? You know with these guys there's ALWAYS the real story.

I get so sick of my freeper friends saying that I always try to put the most positive spin on some negative story about Kerry. What do they want, my tail between my legs so they can gloat properly? And besides, like I said, the story is usually WRONG.

So what's the straight poop re: the voice mail? Thanks.

1. Hmmm... no documentation
and I'm going to be lazy on the google, but my understanding is that Reeve left the voicemail after the debate but BEFORE he went to the hospital for his sore(s). While he was being treated for the sore(s), he slipped into a coma.

8. Nah, can't get Air America
Though I'm thinking of getting satelitte.

Listening to the "otherwise amusing when they aren't talking about politics" Bob and Brian in the morning, Lazar 103. They must have gotten it from some Conservative pundit somewhere. They try to be a poor man's Rush on occasion, but they're not even THAT good.

Nevertheless, I do like their sense of humor, and they did help me get through my dad's illness by making me laugh.

Even so, they *were* quite hysterical in meltdown mode after the last debate "NO! Don't try to be FUNNY! Presidential! Look presidential!" I've never heard them rag on their own guy like that before. They were both doing that Beavis laugh that Bush was doing. Bugged the STUFFINS out of them. I loved it.

Thanks. I was indeed being lazy. Ammo is a good thing to have.

14. Everyone can stream Air America online
Though if you're in your car or otherwise away from your computer, the streaming doesn't do you much good.

I notice most of their new stations are in red or battleground states. I'm in a blue state, and I will probably turn blue myself before they get around to broadcasting here. :(

15. That reminds me...it's time for my weekly phone call to Lazer 103
to tell the that I'm ebarrased to bring my friends to Milwaukee because they keep spewing bullshit for Bush on what is supposed to be a Musical radio station.

They're probably homophobes trying to hide their love for one another by supporting Bush.

3. Read Dana Reeve's story this morning. Reeve got sick Saturday night.
He left the voicemail for Kerry on Saturday morning. Attended his son's hockey game that afternoon. It was late that night when he fell into a coma and he died the next day.

4. His wife said Reeve left the message on the 9th
http://www.zap2it.com/movies/news/story/0,1259,---23296,00.html

'(Dana Reeve) also details his activities on Saturday, Oct. 9, his final day of consciousness. Besides attending his son Will's hockey game, he met with his two older children Matthew and Alexandra, discussed the upcoming release of his movie "The Brooke Ellison Story" and "left a long phone message for Senator John Kerry lending his support and encouragement."'

5. That's a load of BS...
http://edition.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Movies/10/19/reeve.wife/index.html

here's a snip...

"On Saturday, October 9th, Chris spent his last day of consciousness doing what he loved to do," Reeve wrote.

"He left a long phone message for Senator John Kerry lending his support and encouragement; he attended one of Will's hockey games, cheering as they won a huge victory, bursting with pride as Will was presented with the game puck for his outstanding playing that day. He and I spent the early evening on the phone and then he watched the Yankee game with Will and gobbled up one of his favorite meals, turkey tettrazini."

Ugly people employ ugly tactics.
