11. Have you ever seen that pic
Of Bush trying to hold his dog?

The thing was just dying to get away from him.

18. All animals can sense character.
For example, animals always like my husband.

He is a kind and gentle man. Our dog and cat both like him best. :(

The animals in the neighborhood always come up to him to be friendly.

When I told my dh that * was afraid of horses, he said, "No self-respecting horse would go near W."

Interesting that dh thinks first about the animals' feelings. That is probably why animals like him.

Kerry is probably the same way. You can see it in that picture.

39. Is that JK's dog?
I thought I read JK had a German Shepard?

BTW Chimp didn't add his dog to the evil empire until he was installed in the WH...

An older relative of mine made the observation that Chimp must be trying to copy FDR (They said FDR had the same type of dog and said dog was a fixture at FDR's fireside chats!)

4. It's not his dog. He has a German Shepherd named Cym,
but for some inexplicable reason they never show him with his furry friend.

I keep asking for photos of JK on horseback and with his dog.

29. I saw the newsclip today of JFK and that yellow lab
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 04:10 PM by txindy
They were hunting geese and the dog was with them. As they were walking back, one man blew a whistle hanging from his neck and the yellow lab bounded up. Senator Kerry leaned down and the dog ignored the others and ran straight to him! LOL! As you can tell from the picture, they were nose to nose. The Senator was talking to him and the dog was wagging and wagging that tail. No doubt about it, dogs love him. I've always been a dog person. I'd recognize that body english from both man and dog anywhere.

As for poor Barney, the last time I saw him was at the 'ranch' in Crawford when Junior held that press 'conference' with Powell, Dick, Rummy, and Rice. Barney was in the background, leaving presents for Junior all over the lawn. ROFL! In order to cut Barney out of the shot, the cameraman zoomed in so close to Junior I felt like we were about to on a 'Fantastic Voyage' through his bloodstream. Sheesh. We'd all be pickled! Barney made several of those little editorial remarks during that photo op. that day. Good boy! :toast:

22. Dog
The dog likes Kerry, the dog looks like he accepting Kerry's approval. Dogs usually accept approval only when they like the person. There are only two people I would trust my dogs with--- my daughter and Kerry.

35. Kerry's doing something that's not instinctive for most people--
he's petting the dog's chest. Most people who meet my dog for the first time want to pat his head, and a lot of dogs don't like that--it's a dominant gesture to them. They prefer to be scratched around the neck and chest.
I bet * has never even noticed that, but Kerry doesn't display an instant need to establish his dominion over this dog. Great photo.

he was, and could never be.

Kerry is
Handsome
Masculine
Courageous
Smart
Ethical
Talented
Focused
Successful
A gentleman
An Outdoorsman
A good father
A devoted husband
A Statesman
A leader
And is kind to 2-legged and 4-legged people alike.
