Bush has assigned himself as Secretary of State
It makes me sick that Colin Powell, the one person on Bush's administration that I didn't mind as much as the others, is being replaced by this dangerous lying weasel of a Bush parrot, Condoleezza Rice. In effect, the person we're now going to have for our Secretary of State, Condi Rice, is nothing but George W Bush himself. In four short years this lady, "Chucky", has transformed herself into Bush's clone.

Bush is not only our president, but he's soon to be our Secretary of State, too.

What's next....Falwell's appointment to a post? Bush's message is that we haven't been aggressive enough in our foreign policy to satisfy the neo-cons, but he's doing his best now to change that. This is very scary stuff, people.

1. Nah, don't worry about it.
Powell did every thing, told every lie that *Co told him to. So will Rice. Net change to State Dept. is zero.

2. In a weird way, Rice is better
because we know and the world knows she's Bush's shill. Powell had an aura of respectability.

(Of course, Buscho sucked every bit of it out of him -- he will never, ever live down the moment he went and lied to the UN and the world about WMDs in Iraq.)

But even still people were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. "But, he's a good man... he's a 'dove'" they would say.

Rice is a hack and a sycophant. We all know it. The world knows it.

3. Secretary of State is a token position..
...in this administration. They might as well have just sent Rice to Siberia.

It goes perfectly with their record: token blacks for token positions.

4. It's like the end of "Aguirre, Wrath of God"
He's killed everyone and is floating down the river on a raft that's overrun by monkeys as he screams that he's ruler of the world. Junior's off some of his meds now; I can almost hear Ashcroft sing "Let the evil soar..."
