Bush setting stage for failed second term
Edited on Tue Nov-16-04 12:31 PM by PSU84
We have seen the future, and it is more of the same - only worse.

By appointing Alberto "Boil 'em Alive" Gonzalez as A.G. and Condi "They didn't give us flight numbers" Rice as Sec. of State, Bush has set the course of his second four years - and he is steering the ship of state toward disaster. George "fool me twice" Bush has obviously learned nothing from his mistakes. How could he when he is totally unaware of his many failures?

While the risks we face in the next four years are very great - and are exacerbated by choosing incompetent advisors like Gonzalez and Rice - watching the Bush White House self-desruct promises to be very entertaining.

It's also going to pave the way for major Democratic gains in 2008 - likely to include winning the Presidency.

2. but can we survive
the next 4 years.???
if we cant prove the voting fraud, and they stay in office--
There are way too many worse case scenarios.
I can't imagine peaceful, prosperous times with these criminals in ruining our country.
I'm very afraid.

6. can we survive?
I am worried; not just about the next 4 years but about the future of our country. Apparently, "The majority" of the people in this country think everything is fine...what will it take for things to change?

Bush and company can pretty much do whatever they want and meet with little or no resistance. They can say anything whether it is true or not. If it is a lie, they just repeat it over and over again. If it sticks, fine...if it doesn't, they move on.

This country is royally fucked right now. For the first time in my life I am truly worried about what is in store for us.

4. Bush setting stage for Dictatorship
Bush is putting people who are loyal to him into positions of power, just like Hitler did. Gonzales for AG, Rice for State. He already got Goss in as CIA director.

All of these, and the others that he picks have the same ideology as he does, that was also true of Hitler, he put into place people who were loyal to him first and foremost. Loyalty to the country looked good on the news reels and sounded great on the radio, but it wasn't real.

Bush has control of Congress, and no doubt that he will get control of the SCOTUS as well. The moderate Republicans will toe the party line for fear of being denied positions on committees. And we already know that we cannot trust all of the Democrats in Congress, enough of them have a long history of jumping the aisle to vote with the Republicans.

The new minority leader is against abortion, so don't count on him to be a shining light of tolerance.

If Bush is truly trying to create his dictatorship, then it won't matter how his second term turns out, because it will be permanent.

5. Don't forget, it wasn't until he'd locked down the judiciary that
Hitler became more than an international joke. Once he had the judges and could open the concentration camps in '36, it was only 3 years to world war.

He fooled a lot of people in his first 4 years.

7. Hitler/Bush
People laugh when you mention Hitler and Bush in the same sentence...they need to wake up and do a little reading. The similarities are frightening.
