2. figures
These people are so transparent.

I still want to know how much of what the Dean campaign gave these folks was tax dollars.

That is the point to keep hammering, ladies and gentlemen. Don't let them divert into the 'Dean did it too' argument. That is not the point. TAX DOLLARS - that's the point. It's not about bribing a reporter as much as it's about using tax dollars to do it.

3. This is my problem with where this story is going
Edited on Sun Jan-16-05 05:42 PM by democracyindanger
Instead of continuing to hammer the point that the issue is taxpayer money being used for payola, and non-disclosure of said payola, it's all about Kos, Zephyr Teachout and the WSJ writers. Meanwhile, Armstrong Williams' crimes (and they are federal crimes) sneak off, unnoticed.

Everything's happening exactly the way the RW wanted it to. While I understand Kos and Jerome Armstrong's desire to clear their names, I think they should quit protesting so much and start hammering home points about Williams.

6. Good point. Don't let them frame this AWAY from their crimes.
They did same during the campaign - with the swiftboaters being diverted to 502s - and we had to defend Moveon rather than attack the lies.

8. Thanks for posting this.
The Republican propaganda machine keeps churning it out. It would take the equivalent of an Olympic sprinter, but in terms of research, to keep up with them. We should just get a list of all the Bush operatives/supporters and check news sources against the list. That would be quick and easy.
