He said something about Shrub being a total idiot prior to the election. It was a big deal for about 15 minutes.

3. I'm sure those Hollywood stars will be suffering miserably the next 4 year
What with their million dollar bank accounts, luxurious lifestyles and properties all over the world.

I bet the sponsors of these ads are probably thinking "Yeah, we sure showed them! We sure stuck it to them Hullywood libruls!"

No, Ben Affleck and Babs Streisand will not suffer one bit from a Bush Administration. But millions of far less privileged people will suffer a great deal.

Citizens United

Citizens United is an organization dedicated to restoring our government to citizens control. Through a combination of education, advocacy, and grass roots organization, Citizens United seeks to reassert the traditional American values of limited government, freedom of enterprise, strong families, and national sovereignty and security. Citizens United's goal is to restore the founding father's vision of a free nation, guided by the honesty, common sense, and good will of its citizens.

ASP's major objectives include complete U.S. withdrawal from the United Nations, defeat of the treaty to establish a permanent U.N.-controlled International Criminal Court, and rejection of one-world government.

Citizens United for the Bush Agenda

Citizens United for the Bush Agenda is the project through which Citizens United members work to enact key elements of President Bush's conservative legislative and policy agenda, including across the board tax cuts, complete elimination of the death tax, a strong national defense, deployment of a missile defense system, educational choice, and a reduction in government regulation and red tape.

That, and a lovely tint of coward yellow for his face.

Would be much more rewarding than defacing beyond recognition, IMHO.

And these billboards will surely be tagged beyond recognition before the end of the month. Los Angeles is home to one of the largest graffitti cultures in America and they are going to look at this as a serious breach on their territory.

20. I look forward to what modifications can be made...
... the best billboard hack I have seen was about 6 years ago when Microsoft was pimping Windows2000 in Toronto. The original copy was "More Security than the Popemobile" (which is such marketing bullshit). The hacked billboard version (which used text pasted over the original in almost the same typeface and colour) read "More sex than the Pope".

Fucking brilliant.

22. LOL, Michael Moore does not live in Hollywood
or anywhere even near California or have much to do with the movie-scene as far as I know. I'm sure none of those movie stars live in Hollywood either.

Just shows how silly citizensunited is, LOL, they probably have no idea that Hollywood the city is nowhere near some gold-plated-sidewalk celebrity-congested paradise of dreams.

Actually, Hollywood itself is mostly populated by workers just trying to get by and having to deal with higher rental rates recently (since they built that godawful Kodak theater and have been impoving the way the city looks...I will give them that) and trying not to lose their apartment.

31. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't celebrity likenesses have to be
by permission only?

Politicians are exempt from that, but somehow it seems to me that celebrities are suing ALL THE TIME for their likeness being misused.

33. Tabloids still get sued.
I think what I'm getting at here is the likenesses are being USED to support/nonsupport a candidate. I'm pretty sure that can't happen without permission.

37. it depends on the photographer and the celebrity and the circumstances
they can sue for Libel perhaps... not sure about that, but if the photos are from a major wire service and are not paid for properly (and pics of that size are extremely expensive), it is copyright infringement. Some of them look familiar - I think from Getty or AP perhaps? I do not see a noticeable photo credit, something most photographers and services also do not like.

As a photo editor, I will look into this.

Those look like red carpet shots, which are semi-fair game, but still applicable to many copyright laws. What a waste of money. I love how this is ok to waste money on, but actually caring for people or a little bit of taxes for the commons is a bad thing.
