Anybody watch the Zell Miller/Smear Vet crap last night?
I noticed in the bar I was in last night that someone had put it on. It was weird, because CSPAN is almost never on in that place. Sports is on normally. I got the feeling there was a lurking Freeper in there somewhere who wanted to watch.

So did anyone with a strong stomach watch? Were they covered in egg (hehe).

1. Caught pieces of it
I caught little pieces. I wondered what 2004 political commentary was doing on TV in 2005.

I stated thinking about the research that says we only pay attention to information that confirms our previously held beliefs. I wondered if this held true in the case of this TV show. I didn't find out; I couldn't listen long enough to what seeemed to be hate-filled and hate-mongering speech.

Was Kerry a coward? I couldn't watch long enough to learn their evidence. Of course, immediately after the "coward" statement they didn't give any evidence...just more hate.

But wait, maybe if I just listened a little longer? Couldn't do it.

2. There's nothing there - I promise
Look at the records independently. Virtually every claim has been debunked. The only thing that was sort of an issue was the Cambodia controversy and that appears to have been an ordinary mistake by Kerry getting times confused - he was in Cambodia but not at the date he initially said.

The SBVT are angry at Kerry solely over his Vietnam War testimony, which they see as treasonous.

3. Why would I want to do that?
I've had enough of the falsehoods. I haven't watched political stuff on T.V. in weeks.
