Interesting comment posted on "rawstory.com"
2/19/2005

5. I have a pretty good idea how Gannon got the WH press pass.

I am a gay white male. In 1970 I was the national committeeman for the Young Republicans from a Southern state. I attended the YR National Convention in June of 1970 in Phonex, AZ. I met K. Rove at the convention and went to the bar for drinks.
We had sex at the Del Web Townhouse we left the bar. I was in the closet until I was in my 40’s. Karl needs to get out of the closet.

Connect the dots.

The author, "Thorn", needs to make/sign an affidavit
Someone has commented subsequently to this,

Thorn, if your story is true, you need to do a lot more than talk to a blogger. You need to document everything that can substantiate your claim. The more you have the safer you’ll be. Regardless of whether or not you’re telling the truth, you have identified yourself as a threat to very important people who’ll do anything to remain in power. And I mean you have identified yourself - it wouldn’t take a day to track you down. Don’t go near the bathtub in motel rooms. This isn’t a joke.

and another pleads,

Thorn….post #5, it this is true, please contact John on

http://americablog.blogspot.com/

Please………if it’s true…….contact him.

I hope Thorn sees those two comments; I feel, too, that if he is telling the truth Thorn is now in danger. For those involved - powerful, highly-paid, gay-bashing gays at the White House - the stakes simply could not be higher.

And the date of the event - the Young Republicans National Convention - needs to be checked.

16. Some more information on Karl Rove and 1970...
Tuesday March 9, 2004
The Guardian

In the autumn election season of 1970, a cherubic, bespectacled teenager turned up at the Chicago campaign headquarters of Alan Dixon, a Democrat running for state treasurer in Illinois. No one paid the newcomer much attention when he arrived, or when he left soon afterwards. Nor did anyone in the office make the connection between the mystery volunteer and 1,000 invitations on campaign stationery that began circulating in Chicago's red-light district and soup kitchens, promising "free beer, free food, girls and a good time for nothing" for all-comers at Dixon's headquarters.

As political dirty tricks go, it was minor league. Hundreds of the city's heavy drinkers and homeless turned up at a smart Dixon reception looking for free booze. Dixon was embarrassed but the plot failed to stop his momentum: he was elected state treasurer and went on to become a senator. But the teenager who stole his letterheads, Karl Rove, has gone even further.

********

The aggressive tactics won the 22-year-old Rove a walk-on role in the Watergate saga that was consuming the nation. A report was published in the Washington Post on August 10, 1973, titled " Probes Official as Teacher of Tricks", gave an account, based on tape recordings, of how Rove and a colleague had been touring the country giving young Republicans political combat training, in which they recalled their feats of derring-do, such as Rove's Chicago heist at the Dixon headquarters.

At the time, Rove claimed the tape had been doctored to exclude a warning to the audience not to try to emulate any of his past misdeeds. Others present simply remember a caution not to get caught. The publicity forced the intervention of the Republican National Committee and its chairman, a former Texas congressman clinging on to his political career: George Herbert Walker Bush. After considering the case, Bush Sr took action. He drove Edgeworth out of the party on suspicion of having leaked the tapes, and hired Rove, bringing him to Washington.

The incident marked the genesis of the Rove-Bush axis and it was in Washington that Rove met the younger Bush. He fell, politically speaking, in love. "Huge amounts of charisma, swagger, cowboy boots, flight jacket, wonderful smile, just charisma - you know, wow," Rove recalled years later. In 1977, Rove was sent to Texas, in theory to run a political action committee, but according to one Texan political consultant who knew him at the time, "It was really to baby-sit Bush back when Bush was drinking".

37. Rove and the College Republican National Committee
Edited on Sat Feb-19-05 09:34 PM by starroute
In 1972, Karl Rove was executive director of the College Republican National Committee and was running for chairman with the help of his good friend, the late Lee Atwater. Atwater would later be George H.W. Bush's campaign manager in 1988 and was probably behind the Willie Horton ad.

Edgeworth, Rove's opponent in that monumentally dirty 1972 campaign, is long forgotten. But on the ticket with Edgeworth for the vice-chairman position was the late Terry Dolan, who became a major figure on the right and died of AIDS in 1986. Dolan was supported in the race by a group of his friends, notably his old high school buddy Roger Stone.

In recent years, Stone was responsible for organizing the 2000 Florida recount riot 2000. He had connections with Mike Krempasky of rathergate.com and was suspected of being behind the CBS memo con job. And a number of years ago, he and his wife were featured in a tabloid expose of their lurid sex life, which included placing ads in sex magazines looking to set up threesomes.

See, for example, http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=2402259

We are hot, athletic and very fit. We are seeking similar couples or exceptional muscular, well hung, single men. She's 40DD-24-36 and bi. She loves to fuck hard and deep. He's 195 lbs., trim, muscular and 8" +. She prefers jocks, miliary men, and body builders.

It seemed odd to me when this was discussed at DU that the ad was seeking well hung single men but described only the wife as bi. And in Googling around at the time, I did find a couple of sites making remarks about Stone along the lines of "Nobody who wears shoes like that can possibly be straight."

I've been thinking about that ad a lot since this Gannon thing broke. And though it would be foolish to jump to conclusions about Rove on the basis of Stone, I have to admit that I've also been wondering about just what might have been going on among the College Republicans thirty-five years ago.

I think they would attempt to move any "gay" association as far away from his testosteroneness king George and on to anyone they could. Hell the whole lot of them could be in the closet.

Something that I always thought was odd is how * always tries to show off his manly side, and somehow the ladies neither find him attractive nor see him as a threat. Now growing up in the bay area the only men who could do that were gay.

After the sweet nothings * whispered in the Canadian PM Assistant Scott Reid’s ear how “pretty” his face was and even more than his “Scott”.
http://www.vivelecanada.ca/article.php/20040118010447402/print

My boss tried to defend *’s use of the word pretty and I asked if he had ever told another man he had a pretty face; straight men don’t normally think of other men as having pretty qualities.

Scott has been seen casually visiting gay hotspots in Austin, Texas; multiple locations multiple sightings.
http://rawstory.com/news/2005/index.php?p=73

I bet they are trying to move this off *. Karl is the least known character of them. He is already thought of as weird, why not gay too. It is only a message that is really meant to bait us all away from looking for past * relationships, more then likely they are hidden in plain sight.

Does Scott travel with *? More than Laura? More than anyone else?

BTW: These guys are not going to attack from their media outlets they will use ours against us if they can and they can. The anonymous BBS and forums are easy targets to lead away from the story. With * family shit I have observed no one steps up on their own, they don't like threats.

http://www.nationalreview.com/tks/052519.html

Blackwell Trained Karl Rove. Morton Blackwell, a former national executive director of the College Republicans, trained a teen-aged Karl Rove as a field organizer, and taught him "people in politics should pay less attention to consultants, television advertising, polls, and 'message,' and more attention to the old-fashioned side of the business: registering voters, organizing volunteers, making face-to-face contact during the last days of a campaign, and getting people to the polls on Election Day."

Blackwell is the one behind those lovely purple-heart bandaids at the RNC convention...

If a direct path to whom/where this post originated does not exist, the probability of it being Rove or one of his neoconsters posting it is high.

This is definitely not the kind of stuff to spread without major source verification.

These criminals are getting nervous, so all that everyone needs to do is continue to be rigorous and not allow them to escape.

Without verification, this little gem goes NOWHERE. No verifiable witness, no way to track the individual alleging the behavior, not even enough detail to narrow the field appreciably.

55. You are mistaken!!!
Scott McClellan WAS THE DEPUTY PRESS SECRETARY under ARI. Scott was CHOSEN FOR THE JOB BEFORE ARI WAS. Scott came WITH the Chimp from TEXAS. Scott has worked for Chimpy from 1999-present day. Ari didn't get the call until after the fraud-election. The relationship between Scott and the Chimp has always been much closer than the relationship between Ari and the Chimp. Don't go by the JOB TITLE--look at the RELATIONSHIP.

The guy who is the front man is not always the guy who is really in charge, that is the point I am trying to drive home. There are rumblings that Ari left because he was unhappy with HIS level of access, perhaps because a lot of direction came from Bush, Rove, etc., through SCOTT, to Ari. Ari was one of the 'useful idiots,' perhaps, and he got sick of it. The trappings weren't enough compensation for the loss of the soul.

A LOT of people are unaware of that fact. Of course, all assertions need verification, bookmark these:
http://www.usemb.se/cabbio/mcclellan.html
McClellan, 35, began working for President Bush, in 1999 as the deputy communications director, when Bush was the governor of Texas. He served as the traveling press secretary during the 2000 Presidential Campaign.

McClellan comes from a Texas political family. His mother, Carole Keeton Strayhorn, is the Texas state comptroller. and former mayor of Austin. McClellan is a three-time campaign manager for his mother.

Two more, same crap, essentially:

The right intends to try to deflect by asserting that Scotty was out of the loop. Truth of the matter is, Scotty was way IN the loop...it was Ari who was left hanging half the time!

46. This is fake.
What would be this guy's motivation? Guckert's already discredited. So the only reason to divulge this "secret" would be to get Bush.

If he wanted to get Bush, he would have gone public with this *before* the election, not after.

But, perhaps all this talk about Gannon and the whitehouse threw a switch in Thom and the past resurfaced? Gannon might have been the trigger. I hope so.

Rove has pulled that he'd just let someone "in" for 2 years for any reason, keeping friends, or blackmail or whatever. Unless Thom is willing to out himself, physically, with affidavit and proof, that is.

Anyone here watch Bill Maher last night? Joe Biden, Tommy Thompson and Robin Williams were the panel --they talked several minutes about Gannon. Excellent show overall. Thompson looked like a headlight stricken deer half of the time.

52. They set up someone as smart as Mary Mapes.
Wouldn't it be lovely for the Cabal if they could show that Democrats are privacy invading homophobes? What a windfall that would be for them right about now.

57. Is rawstory looking for this guy? I think TNA was working on something
big, last I heard. I would not be in the least surprised by this.

did anyone see the HBO special 'Angels in America'? If what MM said about Americans should turn to Hollywood is the message I think it is, this min-series was a pretty powerful message to start researching our politicians in Washington. CSI, Law and Order( all the different ones), Medium, The West Wing, and Without a Trace have run some pretty damning story lines lately regarding almost every story we've ever suspected or pondered about our DC politicians.

It is funny these stories seem to develop along similar lines to what the boob-tube stories are portraying!
