Can Gannon/Guckert be prosecuted for prostitution?
Or will the authorities ignore the public disclosure of Internet prostitution and give the public the impression that Internet prostitution is perfectly OK and legal? Shouldn't we be screaming that this false impression be rectified by proper law enforcement by our legal authorities?

And wouldn't that allow authorities to investigate his ties to the White House? Wouldn't that allow discovery and investigation? Perhaps a Grand Jury investigation?

Wouldn't Gannon/Guckert tell all to avoid prison?

There is more than just one or two laws being broken in Gannon's underworld of Pimps, Reporters, Republican Johns, Drug-dealers, etc

I'd like to know more about what all is going on with this Gannon fella.

7. Guckert is lucky
that Ashcroft has left office. This is the kind of thing John Ashcroft would prosecute, right? right? Oh, I forgot. Party affiliation makes a BIG difference with these self righteous do-gooders like ole John Ashcroft.

3. as far as I know, they have to catch him in the act, exchanging money for
sex.
In my opinion, who cares if he's a prostitute selling his body, but Everyone should care he's a prostitute for the WhoreWhitehouse, selling out America.

11. They'll have to find somebody lame enough to admit
they used his service. That may be easier said than done.

After all, it's not illegal to put web pages out there. It's only illegal if somebody buys what you're trying to sell.

I can't imagine any of the guys I know being quite that desperate.

13. Don't a lot of "Johns" pay by credit card?
and leave a paper trail? Seems looking into the business finances of Bedrock Co. might lead to proof of money changing hands for sex.

Couldn't an ambitious DA in the areas he operated in find some legal reason, no matter how tenuous, in order to open this up to legal discovery?

I'm not an attorney, but I know they are out there.

Suggestions?

14. Link to Wash. DC sex offender unit: Please report Gannon!
take action. Which links provide proof that he was soliciting prostitution, not just posting nude pics?

Here's a link from their site with a nice phone number we should call:

"If you have concerns about a sex offender in your neighborhood or sex offenders in general, have information on the whereabouts of a wanted sex offender, believe any information on this website is in error, or if you would like further information, please contact the Metropolitan Police Department, Sex Offender Registry Unit, at 300 Indiana Avenue, NW 20001,
phone: (202) 727-4407, or email us at sexoffender.registry@dc.gov."

16. Having a porn/escort web site isn't illegal
here's othing to arrest for yet. I'm an Atlants prosecutor and you almost haveto catch him/them in the act. We don't prosecute many prostitution cases anymore, not worth the time, money and trouble.

21. Probably not
advertising your time as an "escort" is not illegal. It's the actual exchange of money for sex that's illegal, and I doubt anybody's got air-tight evidence it occurred.

Plus, there are probably tens of thousands of self-advertised escorts on the net. It would be a waste of time and resources to try to prosecute them.
