Anyone who is not outraged by the faked intel on Iraq and was pro-war
Was in on the whole scam.

The Downing Street Memo confirms what every skeptic has been saying about the Iraq war from day one, and yet there is nothing. The media is mostly sitting on it, or writing cute stories about how the media is sitting on it. I've heard nothing from any democratic senator. just the ones who've signed the Conyers letter.

Are they living in a bubble, or are they consciously ignoring this issue? Every pro-war democrat who weren't smart enough to see through the lies and based their decision to go to war on the "intelligence" provided by the Bush administration should be furious. So far there has been nothing.

I can only conclude that the silence surrounding this matter is because the pro-war democrats knew it was all bullshit to begin with, and every time Iraq has come up before congress it was a dog and pony show for the public. Any serious investigation into the "intelligence failures" would show they knew it was bunk all along but went along with it anyway to save their own political hides or because it would benefit one of them or their constituents in some way.

As usual, a completely amoral deal written up by corrupt politicians, who only hope that the public will believe there is some kind of limit to their depravity and won't believe their own lying eyes.

1.  I didn't need those memos, all I had to do was read the paper
and watch the news, even a gander at fox news would have been enough to see that they were bullshitting the whole time, starting late 2001.

Honestly, I think people have gone along with the invasion because they believed it would make the oil supply more "secure."

2. Earlier on DU
I read an interesting post. The person speculated that democratic politicians are afraid that if they speak up, they will be treated worse than Newsweek. The administration will pull the "you're endangering the troops!" horseshit.

While I agree that this is the type of thinking that motivates cowards in congress, we need our elected officials to start telling the truth. In fact, by being cowardly pups, they are endangering the troops.

3. It's too late, they already endangered the troops
The Dems that supported this sham war for their own political gain, have already endangered the troops. The administration that sent them in with unarmored Humvees, not enough body armor for every soldier or marine, and little to no training in how to deal with people of another culture.

All of this endangered the troops, and 1600+ lie dead at cemetaries around the country, while 15,000+ are missing parts of their anatomy, and some even their very minds.

So their really isn't much more damage that the cowardly Dems who voted for this war can do to the troops. But, what about those that voted against the war, where are they, why don't they speak out, why
don't they call this administration to task. Those like Levin and Feingold, where are their attacks at the White House and its neocon
syndicate?

Perhaps they too are waiting to see how things go in 2006, and if they win, they might get the courage to call a spade a spade.

We can always hope!!!
