Chairman Dean's Statement On Brown v. Board of Education Anniversary

Washington, DC - Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the
following statement commemorating the 51st anniversary of the landmark Supreme
Court decision, Brown v. Board of Education:

"This case should be remembered as a shining moment in the history of our
country, a landmark decision that rejected decades of discrimination and
unequal access to America's educational system" said DNC Chairman Howard Dean.
"But, much of the work remains unfinished. Democrats will continue to fight for
equality in our schools. Children across the country, regardless of who they
are, where they live or their family's income, have the same right to a quality
public education. President Bush prefers only half-measures when it comes to
education. Parents want high standards and fair accountability for their
children's schools, but they know that neither can be achieved without the
proper tools and funding."

1. Hey Dean?
How about states ushering in Jim Crow laws by the dozens, now Georgia as usual the first victim, reducing from 17 down to 4 forms of ID required to vote next go round...

clearly Brown V. Board was nice to have but we are looking at a white majority asshole powerbase reversing all civil rights (african american, gay, voting rights, etc.) and you are doing what about it?

Reminding us to be proud of the one remaining civil right they have not taken away (oh yeah, what about the no child left standing, how is that not their way of stealing our schools from us)...

Dean, stop talking Crap and do something real.

we need your leadership right now....

This is not a time for Political "NicePlay" you're in, you are the powerbase, Dean, use it for god's sake..
