Apparently we're supposed to regard Prick-silla Owens qualified by virtue of her father dying of polio when she was only 10 months old -- as though that's some kind of qualification for the Circuit Court of Appeals!! Unfuckingbelievable! Her mother apparently didn't find it too encumbering to marry a well-to-do rancher soon afterwards. Owens was what we'd call "advantaged"!

because the vast majority of them think these stories are the rare exception instead of the norm for most Americans. The repugs are such a rich, white bread, exclusive bunch of country club thugs they do not realize that this judge's story is not so different from millions and millions of others. And the repugs who have pulled themselves up promptly forget their roots, the advantages of affirmative action, school loans, and all social programs that assisted in their climb. They have short memories and mean spirits - perfect in today's GOP.
