Whoever comes in second is now the NH story
Kerry is going to win.

Whoever pulls #2 will have the momentum going into next week.

Feb. 2 is now the real test.

1. My opinion only here....
Doc needs to win NH. Second place with Feb. 3 states comming up, it doesn't look too great.

I hope that our guy doesn't pull-out before Feb.3 but, anything can happen.

Although things look gloomy, I'm with Doc!

All the way!

2. I just don't see how Dean pulls it out at this point
Second-place will be the story coming out of NH now...

If Dean shows well, say a CLOSE second he can rise again a-la-Clinton in 1992.

3. Got my fingers crossed!
I don't know....like I said, Feb.3 states will be difficult for Doc.

One can only hope...

Give'em hell Governor!

4. Your Logic Is Flawed...
Clinton lost New Hampshire to Paul Tsongas from neighboring Massachussetts....

A loss in New Hampshire for Dean would be akin to a loss in the Texas primary for Clinton...

Good bye, Dr. Dean....

And we didn't even get to know ya....

5. That's just not so.
Dean is the only candidate with the cash on hand to continue through all 50 states. Kerry and Edwards can probably raise enough to maintain viability through the convention, but the Dr. Dean is the only person with enough fuel in the tank to finish the race without further pitstops.
Go Team Dean Racing!!

and didn't even get one delegate...

Perhaps Dr. Dean can join Dr. Steinberg's practice upon his departure from the race......

10. I was taking poetic license......
We know he has no core...

We know he went from being the most secular candidate in the race to a candidate who said he "needs to talk about his faith more."

We know he went from a man who said he respected the privacy of his wife to schlepping her to Iowa in the waning days of his campaign and then on to the Diane Sawyer show...

We know he went from the Red Bull fueled candidate to the valium addled candidate after his Iowa concession spech meltdown....

Happy trails pardner.....

May you join that sad club of faltered front runners....

11. That's a great poem!
Really...it's wonderful!

In fact, I'll try to remember it when I vote for the Greens in November!

15. Eh, let him go

He was having a little wry fun. I mean, the overlap area between Dean and Nader is pretty much only in a shared Leninist approach to power. :D

6. perhaps

If the #2 gets less than 20% that idea could be in trouble too.

And if February 3 doesn't do the trick for certain candidates, hey, there's February 7 with 2/3 as many delegates at stake! Or February 10, with about the same number, again!

:-)

17. NH is not going to make or break any candidate IMO.
But Feb 03 will be the deciding factor for several candidates.
