If Reid is only two votes away from stopping
the action against the filibuster, why are we even talking "deal" and does anyone know who those two votes might be? Who should we be courting and who is locked in?

2. Some of his votes
May be contingent on trying to make a del or if a deal falls through.....

something like, I'll vote with you only if you can't make a deal.

4. Is there anyone
on the fence as of this point?

I thought one of the Maine Senators (Collins, I think?) had made up her mind, but wasn't telling.

5. 2 votes is a long, long way.
Two votes isn't even close. Dream on.

6. Why would we want to compromise.
If we stand and fight eventually the repukes will try to overstep their bounds so much that they will implode upon themselves -- giving us more fodder to use to win in mid term elections.

Assuming we do, then we can impeach that bastard.

It is the wrong time to compromise. It's time to fight.
