Feingold chides secret attacks on our civil liberties (unPatriot Act)

The Senate should not begin its consideration of the PATRIOT Act with a secret review, of a secret bill, concerning a law that often operates in secret. Any bill to reauthorize, fix, or expand the PATRIOT Act, which has caused such controversy around the country almost from the day it was enacted in 2001, should be debated in the light of day, not behind closed doors. The Senate must respect the principle of open government, so deeply rooted in my own state of Wisconsin, because this bill directly implicates the civil liberties of all Americans.

2. Maybe in 2008 you can share him with the other 49 states.
We could use him for 8 years.

6. And as the ONLY Senator who actually read the 1st PA and voted against it
he knows what he is talking about. Unfortunately, I don't think the rest of the Senate is listening.
