I've never understood having a VP as "running mate"
I know that VP was a seperately elected position originally, and then that changed for some reason I don't remember. So we pick a canidate, and then they pick a running mate, but nobody really gives a rat's, do they? If a campaign is going to be about more than JUST the president, the nominee should run as a team.

Pres. Kerry
VP - Grampa Lieberman? I already have jobs for the other three:
Defense Sec. Clark
AG Edwards
SG Dean
State Sec. Bill Clinton

yeah, I'm dreaming

3. nobody america had heard of other than powell
How about if we run with a strong leader surrounded by respected experts?

I like the idea of Dean as Surgeon General. After this crazy primary run it would be nice for the canidates to strongly unify and bring their supporters around with them. I think knowing that their guy was a part of things would go a long way to winning over supporters.

7. Actually Cheney chose himself, lol.
He supposedly headed up the VP "search" committee for *, and couldn't find anybody better qualified than himself. Nobody better qualified to rob the country blind and wage endless wars for the greater glory of Halliburton, that is.

:puke:

2. One suggestion
Leave Lieberman out and put Edwards in his place. Put Lieberman as on his own.

4. Yeah, I didn't know what to do for VP
I think successful lawyer -> Senator -> AG is a good path for Edwards. He's still young (looking at least).

Actually, I think Sharpton would be a GREAT VP. The VP needs to be the guy who can say the things the press secretary doesn't want POTUS saying. He should also be dispatched to knock heads on the President's behalf. I think Al would be great in that role.

It wouldn't fly in the election tho.

How about Sen Byron Dorgan of North Dakota? He could probably get our 3 electoral votes :)

6. Dean as Surgeon General? No...
I'd say that is a waste of Dean's talents. If he's not the nominee, he should seriously be considered for Secretary of Treasury. What he did with Vermont's fiscal situation is incredible.
