Edwards On Real Time: " I WANT That Fight!"
Hey did anybody else see SIGH Sen Edwards on Real Time?

I loved it when Bill Maher said, "Aren't you flattered that Bush put a swipe at lawyers in the SOTU; he's thinking of you!"

Loved Edwards' answer; that they hate him and people like him because they stand up against "The Enrons" and "for regular people." He said GWB was "married" to the big biz and corporate interests & doesn't mind the Enron lawyers etc.

He said, "This is a fight I WANT to have with the President!"

YEOW! Bring it on, GO JOHNNY GO!

1. How come we do not have much about edwards on here
I never thought of him until the scream speech and after it they had edwards speaking. I really like this guy and see now why he went up in the polls. Everyone should sit and listen to the scream speech and edwards talking to us like he was in our house and cares. He has that quality that Clinton has. I have met a few of the presidents but not Clinton. However, I have me right wing and right leaning business people and they all said they enjoy their time with clinton. He listens and made you feel like you had input with him.

I felt that with edwards the other night. You all should look at that speech. Play it to all. I also think edwards calm come back to Kerry talking about him in diapers was special.

2. we try...
...but there is actually a LOT more Edwards news on DU than there was pre-Iowa. I can remember where there were maybe like 5 pro-Edwards people who posted regularly.

I think the reason there isn't much Edwards stuff is that GD:2004 is focused on attacking other candidates.

There isn't much to attack Edwards on and Edwards doesn't do much attacking of other candidates. It doesn't make great news but it makes a great President.

3. Literally, there were only between 3-5 Edwards supporters here for
a whole year. After Iowa, interest has multiplied ... just like in the real world.

5. People always looking at the snap-shot.
For myself, I have to say, I thought it was pretty obvious how this one would play out.

7. You're the man, AP!
...You're definitely the Edwards supporter that stood out to me when I first joined DU and I know that the American voters will prove you right.

9. Oh AP. Remember last spring and summer?
I'd have to take a break from the board for DAYS. It was no picnic being an Edwards supporter.

AP is our fearless leader. Purity of Essence our scribe.

It is a great feeling to have so many others see (finally) what we gleaned early on.

Hope. It guides me.

6. Hey, Namvet04, great to have another Edwards supporter. You may want
to read this article:

http://www.dodgeglobe.com/stories/052203/opi_0522030031.shtml

It was also in the Washington Post, and when I read it I began to be really interested in JE--such a brilliant article. This fall, when he formally announced his candidacy, his wife introduced him, and it was the most touching, admiring and sincere thing I had ever heard. I figure that if the person who knows you the best of all could say such things, this was one very special person. This image has been reinforced by everything else I have seen about him.

11. John Edwards makes one proud to live in N. C.
John Edwards makes one proud to live in N. C. I worked for his '98 Senate campaign. Some ask,"could he win," others ask, "could he stand up for what he believes in." Yes, he most definitely can. He faced opposition from Faircloth. And the legacy of Jesse Helms.
N. C. is a big RED state. They said he couldn't win. Here is your answer. Yes, he won and has been a great Senator. Hate to lose him as a Senator, but would love to have him as my President. He does have experience from his years in the Senate. I admire a man that listens to what you have to say. Also admire him because he has not been in the Senate long enough to become corrupted. He does understand the every day person and has worked for their benefit.
Go John!:) He's a genuine person, hard to find these days.
