Crooked politicians like Bush always take advantage of religious people
Why not, it's about the easiest vote they could ever hope to get. I suppose if I was a crooked Repbulican politician, I would also look to this base of people for 50 or 60 million easy votes.

Once upon a time....
Karl Rove to Bush: "Junior, get religion. You can become president if you do."
Bush: "How do I do that? I don't know the first thing about it."
Rove: "Boy, you ARE a fucking imbecile, aren't you. Just tell them you were born again."
Bush: "Got it, boss! Thank you, sir!"

I've got nothing against sincere people looking for help from above, but good gawd, so many of these people are so obscenely naive it's pathetic.

It's like taking candy from a baby. All you have to do to see how easily these sheep are won over is watch a couple minutes on TV where some lying minister is preaching his gospel in a jam-packed stadium and hordes of people are looking up at the sky with their eyes closed and lips moving in unison as if the lying scoundrel on stage is God himself talking down to them.

As if a murderous lying traitor like Bush is really religious. Gimme a break.

Can't these people see they're being taken to the cleaners by this insincere thug of a president and all the phoney baloney fundie-preachers like Falwell who all reside together in the pockets of the oil people?

1. The religious right in this country are ignorant and easily
led. They believe shit, they conscientiously choose not to "know" shit. Classic sign of ignorance. But, I think their sorry little asses ought to be held accountable for enabling bush to destroy our military and in turn our economy. They are ignorant people with minds full of hate who have no idea how valuable the constitution is to them. They want to use the constitution as a weapon. They want to force all americans to believe as they do. All bush has to do is nod his head and feign piety (as rove advised), to get them to wave their flags and praise the lord. He's evil, they are ignorant lemmings; all of them will burn in hell.

Christian conservatives are the number one domestic enemy of the constitution.

Christian conservatives are proof that ignorance is part of conservative DNA.

4. "They want to use the constitution as a weapon"
They really do, don't they. It's sad how easily that Christian fundie preachers can pull the strings of the lemmings as you call them.

You, I, and everyone here knows what's going on with how these people are getting brainwashed.

The question is...what can we do to make them realize that Bushco is totally insincere, not religious in any sincere sense, and just out for their votes while he stabs them in the back? Is there any way to get through to them? Maybe a religious "Cindy" to stand up and go against the grain?

2. On Democracy Now this woman who supported * was
saying she couldnt believe what Sheehan supporters were saying about President * because he's a man of faith. WTF!!!! I guess it's easier to rely on that than to pay attention to annoying facts. She also thought Saddam moved the WMD to Syria before we could find them. :sigh:

3. Hitler did it. And the churches responded by cooperating with
him.

6. Too true.
Read "Hitler's Willing Executioners" for documentation.

8. Only the ignorant live their lives based on fantasy values. Its a
dangerous way to live. Unfortunately, it harms us all.
