Bush with Hammer in Hand has Another Photo-Op Moment
Bush with Hammer in Hand has Another Photo-Op Moment
October 11th, 2005

This morning George W and Laura Bush had their hands full posing for photo op moments in Covington, Louisiana with a Habitat for Humanity crew, after their gourmet dinner and sleep over in a luxury hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans last night.

“I got a hammer - can I help?”

Bush spent nearly two hours at a bustling Habitat for Humanity construction site in Covington, La. Aiming to support the effort to find housing for those displaced by Katrina, Bush — donning a hard hat, work gloves and a giant wraparound leather tool belt — briefly joined Habitat volunteer builders, then chatted, signed autographs and posed for pictures.

2. And the "after" pictures
(if there were any) would show able-bodied, competent 12-year-olds prying out all the nails Fearless Leader drove in and re-hammering them in all good like.

3. Do they really think anybody is falling for this shit?
Every "photo op" has to be bringing the light to more and more Americans that this president and his wife and the entire administration are full of shit.

I hope they keep going. Dig your grave, assholes!

5. He denied it was a photo-op? Then what would he call it?
By the way, Laura is either dressed from 1974 or she is pretending to fix houses wearing an apron.

14. Are you saying a fitted satin jackette with ruffles on the cuffs is not
the attire one would wear to a carpentry session? WHAT, then???

The jacket is easier to take than her idiotic smirk.

7. Uhhh. George. When you use a hammer, you hold it down
toward the bottom of the handle, not the top. I see Laura looks like she knows what she's doing too... Not.

11. I love Pickles
the only long, slender, wooden thing she's used to holding is W's junk! And if that's the case, then "long" and "wooden" are bad adjectives (the "slender" part is probably right) :D

13. Is there any video of him actually driving a nail?
Now that would be interesting. I'll bet a donut that he can't hammer a nail without bending it.
