Just no morals, integrity or conscience. Rove succeeded because he was always more than willing to do anything to win. You only have to gage the limits that your opponent will not cross and then cross it. And it does not help to be a fellow repuke. Just look what he did to McCain in S.C. in 2000. Anyone who lives down here in Texas is not surprised by any thing Rove has done. But power corrupts. He did make a mistake. He thought that business in D.C. would be the same as in Austin, where he could do anything he wanted. He and Cheney both made the mistake of fucking with the CIA. Those boys play hard ball and there are some things Goss can't control. Bush shares some blame, he probably knew what Rove and Cheney were up to and was too lazy or dis-interested to stop it. So arrogant or fucking dumb to realize that sooner or later it would catch up to them. As Ward Churchill put it 'On Chickens Coming Home to Roost'. In this case however it may be a vulture circling to pick the bones. Good riddance to piss poor trash. They should rot in hell in the next world if not in prison in this one.

Lots of people could have thought up his cynical schemes but most would know that in the long run, this kind of stuff won't work. In the end, Karl may have brought down the whole Republican party.
