Right Wing sping of WMD continues to evolve
The latest example comes courtesy of a LTTE in the latest edition of USNews&World Report. Gaze at the wonderment:

- "Pres bush told the truth AS HE KNEW IT from worldwide intelligence" .. (Translation: bush knows stuff but he can't know everything. He wouldn't lie to us but someone might lie to him.)

- "Americans should have been relieved THAT WE FOUND NONE (wmd). Instead that finding has been twisted into indignation." (Translation: Ok so bush lied but so what, we should be glad he was wrong. And all those whining about the dead American Soldiers should just get over it; please refer to the conservative talking point about the number of Americans Killed in car wrecks. It works on our lemmings, why the hell does it not work on liberals.)

- (And finally,) "Its time for the disgraceful, divisive political spectacle in our nation's capitol to end its run." (Translation, would you liberals stop with the quest for truth.)

If it weren't for false pride, ignorance and arrogance (conservative values) such letters would never be written.

2. And, why are they stonewalling any investigations into
how the intelligence was used? I would be so angry if I were duped the way this administration supposedly was (according to people like the letter writer).

3. Ritter and many others called it bullshit and people in Iraq couldn't find

any WMD. So spin away right wing. The proof is overwhelming right now that the push was on before 9-11 to go to Iraq. All that is left is a Dem controlled Congress to investigate the bastards and impeach them. 2006 MATTERS.

5. They're such a sensitive bunch
I remember how worried they were when Bush was running at 90% about dividing the country and being kind and considerate of minority viewpoints. Now that they're on the short end of the stick, it's whining about ending the divisiveness, and everyone think like they do again!

You know what, Mr. Letter Writer in Useless News and World Distort? Fuck you, that's what. In the ass. With a rusty chainsaw. Twist yourself into indignation over THAT, you bloodthirsty motherfucker. Then enlist and fight for the war in which you so fervently believe.

6. The unpleasantness from the right is in the past. Forget about it.
Forget the era of the angry white man and the Newt Gingrich Contract On America. Forget the rabid prosecution of Clinton, and the self-righteous right dragging the country through that. Forget the in-your-face rightwing policies and appointments from a president who - after a very odd selection and not even winning the popular vote - promised to be a "uniter, not a divider." Forget about the post 9-11 rise of a man properly describes as a tyrant, a crusader whose sole guiding principle was "you're either with us or with the terrorists." Forget about the man who steamrolled over opposition to his war. Forget about the blood and treasure spilled and spent for these lies. Forget about the fact that this president has held no one - certainly not himself - accountable. Forget about the smears and politics of destruction played by the right, the votes held open for bribery and threats.... forget the theft of our Social Security, the environment, Katrina...

A list not even slightly exhaustive. Yes, it is time "for the disgraceful, divisive political spectacle in our nation's capitol to end."

Republicans should take responsibility for their failed policies and for the bitter division they have created with their fuck-you attitude in their cultural war on the majority of Americans.
