According to Wolfie just now. I had a feeling that Allen was going to give us problems. He's another shrub.

1. I'd be fine with George Allen as the GOP nominee...
He's dumber than Bush, and I doubt his handlers are as savvy as Rove et. al.

Allen has said some really stupid things on the record.

I think Allen is the best candidate we could hope for on their side, other than Newt.

2. I hope you are right about that.
He is stupid, but the fundies like him. He also has a certain amount of pseudo-celebrity status because of his father.

3. This is just one little poll, but if he continues lead in polls like this
it will convert into campaign dollars.

12. I think he'd have a better chance than some
If he's liked by the fundies. McCain is trying to be liked by them, in October he met with Falwell, and Romney would probably be seen as too liberal and didn't Pitaki use to be a democrat?

9. It Seems To Me
That the stupider you are the more the GOP wants you. He is such a loser. And dumber than dirt.

13. It's so you can be controled by
the corporate sponsers who are your bosses. They don't care about the people anymore. The fundies they use to hide behind and get votes from. Check out the film "God in the White House" and "With God On Our Side."

4. Isn't he the one with the Rebel flag and a hangman's noose in
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 04:57 PM by alfredo
his office? I can see why the religious right likes him.

I think he also pretends to be a cowboy, down to dipping snuff.

5. A cowboy southerner born in Whittier and raised in Palos Verdes
Estates California. Where did that accent come from?

or a picture of his office with the flag and noose.

18. The flag was living room decor in
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 11:09 AM by LibDemAlways
a home he owned. The noose was in his law office. He's on the record as acknowledging both. He's such a liar, though. He explained the flag away saying it was part of a collection and that he's a student of "history." He said the noose was meant to indicate nothing more than that he's pro "law and order."

Actually the guy is a racist going way, way back. I went to high school with him and I, along with 2400 others who attended Palos Verdes High School in Southern California in the 69-70 school year remember well the racist graffiti he spraypainted on the walls of the school in an effort to stir up some hatred.

If the GOP nominates Allen for President or VP, he'll be having to publically explain that one as well.

Ole Raygun, next Chimpie and soon to be George Allen? Combine the iq's of all three, and you still won't get up to Clinton's

Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 05:53 PM by jackbourassa
That would be a dream come true. This way, we can run against Bush and the Republican Congress in 2008.

14. Are you sure you have this right...?
CNN online has it Guiliani first, McCain second

Hillary for the Dems...with Kerry a distant second.

16. Your story is wrong.
The top Republican was Guiliani.

Next 2)McCain, 3)Condi Rice

Allen was in 4th place.

The story was focused on 2 New Yorkers, Guiliani vs Hillary Clinton.

19. No it isn't. Wolf Blitzer reported it, which is why I mentioned his name.

I tried to cut and paste the para but for some reason I can't. It is about halfway through this article. It refers to a National Journal poll which has Allen in first.

This is the poll that Wolf Blitzer quoted and posted a graphic about.
