The Republicans will protect us....
...that's what the polls are saying and a vast number of people are believing...Who is the better party on security matters, who will prevent another terror attack on US soil, etc., etc, ....and who is to blame for that perception? Well, the msm helps out, but it is the democrats who are guilty. We cannot change this perception by giving the PNAC whackos more rope-we have given them plenty...NOW is the time to give them a big old Missouri "SHOW ME".....After 4 years of trampling the constitution, show me a single case where your defecating on the Bill of Rights has born a single fruit...point to the mother and child that would have DIED but for...Show me a successful prosecution, show me vital info revealed through torture or rendition....Democrats must NOT run from safety questions, instead we must ask MORE and when they say We will keep you safe then our party must insist "show me"...

1. Right on!
Show 'em or fold 'em.

I also don't understand why the Dems aren't pointing to the 'sins of omission' committed by this Admin and its supporters, i.e. the tons of cargo that come into the country unchecked, the laxity of security measures at chemical plants, explosives plants, etc.

What's the point of making granny take her shoes off at the airport, if you're boarding a plane with a cargo-hold full of containers that have never been checked?

2. Yeah, they did a great job
protecting New Orleans from standing water, didn't they? Annthrax Coulter said that the wiretapping hubbub among Democrats drove them out of their "rat holes" showing the world how they're "soft on terrorism". I swear, that woman (I guess) is a loon. Did BushCo protect us from anthrax? Were they on the scene immediately after NO flooded? Why aren't out ports, chemical and nuclear plants guarded? The CIA on the groud at Tora Bora had Bin Laden cornered but were refused backup. Oh yeah, Bushler is really protecting us.

3. Talk About Your Smoke and Mirrors

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Looks like the argument will be that since they haven't hit US soil since 2001 then he's a rousing success. Why does this President get to start his "judgment" clock arbitrarily after 9/11? This was ON HIS WATCH.

This is really a great political stance for the neo-cons. If we get hit then it's time to flush the constitution again....if we don't get hit then it's because we've been flushing the constitution for all this time.

4. well obviously talking about it here is preaching to the converted
But I think the writting is largly already 'on the wall'. The Pukes are looking at huge defeats in 06' - we just have to keep up the pressure, expose the scandles, corruption, ineptness and lack of morals that the repukes have and hammer it home to ma and pa. When and only when we get control of congress can we inflict some real damage on this administration. Until that time, all this theorizing and conjecture is hot air.

I'm just sayin' you're preaching to the converted, lets see some dems get on the floors of senate and house and say "show me". Let's see some candidates get bleeped on Chris Mathews for saying to him 'go fuck your self'. Where the fuck is our Ann Coulter. I see very few dems actually standing up and saying all of this is BS. No one has called the media a whore yet - we say it everyday- but this is the house of the converted so it is moot.

5. Just sayin'...
Rassmussen (sp) frames it and the people respond. And we are losing HUGE....we need to say it in public and in my innocence I believe certain democratic powers scan this site....So if Howard reads this that should be the frame-that Americans are born with "certain inalienable rights",that the republican party has usurped some of those and in point of fact it has made NO difference other than before domestic airline travel I make sure to change socks.....and even I doubt that was the republican goal...Democrats MUST state that if America ceases to be America...Well, we lost...
