Where's Corporate USA's OUTRAGE over 'net sales of cell-phone records ?
A successful career in sales has exposed me to a variety of business development techniques--from the altruistic to the underhanded--and I must point out that the ability to essentially buy my competitors CLIENT LISTS off the internets for a hundered bucks would be a boon. There a zillion ways to commit serious corporate espionage but this one's so simple anyone can do it. What's up w/that?

1. That's a great idea! Start buying phone records of Verizon sales reps
And give them for free to sales reps for Cingular, T-Mobile, and others.

I don't know if it's legal for me to suggest that, so obviously that's just a satirical riff.

2. ian I'm sure it's going on already, and the sales people are expensing it.

3. Are corporate phone records available to net buyers?
Or only residential and cell records?

I know that when I've received some sales calls, I often get hung up on. When I try to use the expensive "call back the last caller" function, usually because I want identification of the calling party, 99% of the time I've tried it I've received the verbal message that states something along the line that the function doesn't work for 'that' caller (I don't remember the exact text of the message)

Why wouldn't 'phone records for sale' work along a similar logic?

4. correct me if I'm wrong but
the only way the call lists are available on the net is because phone service providers are selling them. They can't sell your Verizon calls unless Verizon sold the information.
