Why is the Big Dawg being so quiet about the NSA scandal?
Al Gore is out there screaming his lungs out about it.. He's doing his part.

But what about "the MAN"??

One thing President Clinton still has the ability to do, is to get the full and uninterrupted attention of the media if he wants it.

Since his name keeps coming up in so many bogus Refucklican allegations regarding illegal wiretapping, why is Gore the only one fighting this?

Why isn't President Clinton speaking out? -- Will he eventually???

1. There seems to be an unwritten rule of decorum for former presidents..
that they serve a role as "elder statemen" and refrain from bashing
who is currently in office.

However, both Clinton and Carter have not held back on criticizing * on occasion-
I think Clinton will say something soon enough, and I have a feeling
that he agreed with every word of Gore's speech.

2. Thanks Olney..
I hope he does speak out soon.. I understand the unwritten rule that presidents have...

...But they are speaking FOR HIM and he needs to set them straight.

5. He's Already Defended Himself
as NOT violating the law during his administration. In my opinion, that's all he has to do.

The odds that he is being spied upon--absolutely he is on the list. I'm sure he has a lot of stuff he would not like revealed. Even if it is innocent, the RW spin machine would make it sound like it's proof that he's a serial killer or something equally heinous.

8. You're right - I heard him comment on the NSA spying.
He said his administration obeyed the law which infers that BushCo did not.

9. I loved Clinton as president, but he's Hillary's shill now.
This is his purgatory, kissing up to the Bushes, being silent on important issues, coaching Hillary on finding the middle.

Gore and Feingold are showing some guts, but Bill Clinton is a disappointment.

I've defended Hillary for her plantation comment, but make no mistake. she did it with her own 08 candidacy as her purpose, and she didn't help blacks or Dems with that comment.

Gore's speech last Monday was a fitting tribute to MLK. Her speech was not.
