The Battle of the Biscuit - ongoing coverage

In the Summer of 2002, natural forest fires burned in the Siskiyou National Forest in Southern Oregon. The corporate media's panicked reporting made it sound like the world was ending. The truth, however, is that fire has been a normal part of the area for thousands of years, and that the ecosystem's cycles of growth and regeneration are actually fire-dependent.

The Bush administration, however, ignoring both science and common sense, created the "Biscuit Fire Recovery Plan", which -- while disenguously utilizing the language of conservation in its presentation -- threatened to destroy thousands of acres of old growth native habitat. When, in December of 2003, 90% of the 23,000 people who commented on the plan expressed their opposition, the Bush administration declared an "emergency" and removed the ability of citizens to appeal the plan.

1. His whole pResidency has been one long "emergency"
of BushCo's own creation, thus allowing them to bulldozed their way on through, destroying America in every way they can.

Think about it; what's great about America?

Freedom-nope, they're spying on us all now. Watch what you say!

Our cherished documents; the constitution and the bill of rights- forget it. The Patriot Act has shredded them.

Our country beautiful, from oil poisoned sea to dead zone sea- they will burn and clear cut and remove mountaintops and poison our air and water and wipe our endangered species from the face of the earth as fast as they can-because the "end times' and fat bank accounts for their cronies can't come fast enough.

So, what is it that we love about America again?

2. They did the same thing with Florida off shore drilling
They eliminated the state being able to object. Even Mel Martinez, republican, signed a protest letter.

W could care less about our environment or local control. He's corporate greed 100%. If the American people would ever inform themselves, they would impeach him in a second.

He cares nothing about leaving our kids and grandkids anything that nature produced.

One good thing, his arrogant actions are waking up people like Mel Martinez.

4. Why do you think he is stacking the courts?
The biggest complaint against Alito is that he felt the executive office should not be overruled.
