A roundup of the POLLS of the last couple of days shows
1. Bush is still unpopular, seen as incompetent, and now unethical
2. The GOP in Congress is tanking, thanks to Bush and Abramoff, while Dems are holding tight
3. America is split on warrantless spying
4. After a year of elections, America is still split on Iraq

1. Is anyone else puzzled by the
seeming willingness of Americans to trash the 4th amendment AND supporting Alito while at the same time, we are told by the polling groups that people overhwelmingly think Bush is off track? Something just doesn't fit.

2. I agree
It doesn't make any sense does it. I think the way these ?'s are put to people in these polls shapes the results.

4. True, especially with the wiretapping question. They typically pose
it as an either/or, when it is actually not quite so simple.

5. If you asked the public who Alito is, I'd guess about 80%
wouldn't even know.
