Paula Zahn last night, as reported by mediamatters.org, saying: "you've got a lot of people out there saying, if you're Republican, we're going to keep the country safe, you know, if you vote for a Democrat, that basically you want to be bombed."

Not that I don't expect this kind of talk from CNN but jesus. They aren't even subtle anymore.

3. They mangle the language so much...

...that I'm not even sure how to read that sentence. Is she suggesting that "alot of people" are saying that the country will be kept "safe" for you if you are a Republican but not if you are a Democrat? Or is she simply repeating the nonsense about Democrats not caring about national security? I'm assuming it's the latter but look at the way she actually worded that nonsense.

5. She is right

A lot of people, mostly Bush surrogates do say just that. Cheney pretty much said that right before the election. THis is a majopr RW talking point. Repugs are the only ones who can keep us safe.

Interestingly enough, the folks in the city that did get attacked voted 85% for Kerry. Guess they didn't get the memo.
