You know this is scary...
I came home this morning from work and listened to Mike Malloy's show last night on white rose society. After hearing that Cindy Sheehan had been arrested for wearing a t shirt and how she was arrested, it made me think of the book 1984 by George Orwell. Only difference is, it should have been titled 2004. Well George, if you only knew how true your book has become.

1. What if Hillery had been wearing it?
Do you think they'd have had the balls to throw HER OUT?

2. The repugs don't care.
They are in charge, and will do what they want, when they want until they are removed from power or office.

3. There remains no method to remove them, not even election.
They have all the trump cards. There are no checks once balance is gone. And balance is gone.

4. he can be removed by,
an ivasion, or a civil war. Remember, Musolini was removed from office by his own people in 1944.

7. I agree
I agree, ToolTex... with Alito and Roberts in the Supreme Court, the Christian Fascists are now in full control of every branch of government. What's next?!

Everyday things get worse, and everyday we see more and more reasons to drive out the Bush regime and replace it with a society that is worth living in.

I'm not gonna wait until concentration camps and theocracy to act- I'm actin' NOW.

6. EXACTLY!
The next question is: WHY WASN'T HILLERY WEARING THAT SHIRT?

Would her poll numbers be higher if she HAD worn it?

Mother Sheehan got more press coverage than Hillery did!

The Capitol Police got more coverage than Hillery did!

All I saw was Hillery roll her eyes a time or two.

Maybe, instead of challenging Feinstein, Sheehan should run for President!

11. It would be a tacky, rude thing for a Senator to do
Why not demand one of the male Senators dress that way? (as you thing it cool, I don't)

8. hey chill out
as a former congressional staffer (for a repub unfortunately) I can tell you that the Capitol Hill Police were just doing their job. I've had to give enough tours so I'm positive that it is against the rules of the house for someone to make any sort of political statement while seated in the house gallery. While true it is bullshit that she was not aloud to voice her dissent, the rules are the rules and if we want them to change then we should CALL and I do mean call, not e-mail or letter write, our congressmen.

12. No YOU "chill out"
What happened to her there was no excuse for. Maybe you think it's acceptable to live in a country where peaceful dissent and disagreement is proclaimed illegal, and arresatble, but you will find most here don't. Rules my ass. Show me the rules you speak of. And show me which "Rules" she broke.

14. You chill out dude
1st, the police weren't doing their job. They never gave Cindy a chance to leave quietly and peacefully. They came up tp her screamed PROTESTER! and lifted her out of there and took her away in handcuffs. She NEVER said anything. She didn't want to be there, except she was invited. Now a repug's wife, who was wearing a support the troops t shirt, was "asked" to leave. The police wanted to charge her but they couldn't. They messed up. And also, PLEASE tell me where wearing a t-shirt is against the rules. She clearly isn't a member of congress, so she doesn't need to wear proper business attire. You need to chill out. No rules were broken. They used her as a guinea pig to warn others. You should be outraged but I can see you are not. Do us a favor, if you aren't, and it appears you are not, don't say a word supporting the other side. People like you who say yes, i'll behave and do what you tell me to do, like a pre programmed robot sicken me. Get on the other side and support anti-democracy if you are going to be that way you jerk.

15. no I'm not outraged
That simply isn't the place for it. Don't mistake my attitude as being against Cindy, although I don't agree with some of her statements, but as a former staffer (and as I said former staffer to a repub so maybe I've contracted some sort of bug!) I hold a lot of respect for the congress, being up close and personal to it as well as seeing the behind the scenes work, that no one really gets a chance to see, makes me appreciate them more. Plus you do need to calm the hell down, the beauty of politics and forums like this is that it allows for civil discourse, not ad homeniem attacks. Yes, you are correct, she shouldn't have been arrested, that was illegal, but the House has very strict rules and on a night when the Prez (whoever he/she is at any time) is there, they take that shit very seriously. So use some common sense. Think it over. Was it really a bright idea to do what she did? Knowing the Dear Leader was going to give a major speech? I'm shocked that you act so outraged. What happened should have come as no surprise.

13. The capitol hill police just agreed with The Watcher. There was NO excuse
for the CH gestapo to do/act like they did. NONE.

Cindy was BREAKING NO LAWS.

THERE IS NO LAW/REGULATION SHE BROKE.

Stop spreading the repuke LIES.

You've already been proven WRONG.

Now go back to where you crawled out from.
