something on one of the nightly news shows that he got called on the open floor money thing like 12 years ago by some other congressmen. He made an open apology on the floor and a public apology to his constituents through local news, and has been despised by lobbyists since.

I know that's vague, because I don't have a reference, if I remember I'll come back to it later, but I've got to go to work now, sorry.

I'm just saying that I don't think this kind of thing is going to stick to him with the general public. If he needs to be torn down, I think it will probably have to be by opposing his ideals forthright. But, that may mean that Dick Gephardt needs to come back and argue with him.

At first these obsevations seem to be damning, but, and I'm not defending Boehner here, isn't that what the party kinda expects. Doesn't the people who voted this guy into office want a Republican, not someone who breaks off of the Republican line. They obviously feel he is there for them, keeping him in that seat for 15 years now.

And from what I've read this guy is as close to an actual fiscal conservative as you'll find in Congress, as he has never (I almost couldn't believe it...NEVER) earmarked a project to a bill. And he's been at it since 1990. I ALMOST LIKE the guy just for standing up (or at least sitting tall) for his ideals, even if they are conservative.

Voting party line doesn't bother me. It's expected. So these articles mean little if nothing. There has got to be something better on this guy.
