Photo: "Attorney General Alberto Gonzales ponders a response"

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales ponders a response as he is questioned by Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee about whether President Bush, and others in the executive branch, acted illegally in permitting domestic surveillance by the National Security Agency, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Monday, Feb. 6, 2006. Gonzales insisted that President Bush is fully empowered to eavesdrop on Americans without warrants as part of the war on terror and he cautioned Congress not to end or tinker with the program. I don't recall, I'll have to get back to you.

We have summited that to the group of Eight.

It is our opinion that is with in the POTUS' constitutional authority.

2. There is so much that he is covering up that he can't remember
what he is supposed to talk about, and what bushco told him not to say. He has stumbled on this several times.

3. It is so difficult to remember things when you
are the nation's highest law enforcement officer, trying to remember the constitution and stuff, being Attorney General is hard work, who knew they were going to ask him questions? Is the Constitution all that important anyway, didn't 9/11 change all that? Maybe the British did have the right idea in 1776 after all. Remember what F.D.R. said "the only thing we have to fear is the Constitution".:sarcasm:
