Did anyone see the Nixon/Bush Ad by MoveOn?
CNN was supposed to carry it.

Peace.

1. Yes I did - it was great. I'm not a big fan of MoveOn.org's tactics but
this one worked nicely.

2. What exactly do you mean by their tactics?
They collect money at the grassroots level, create ads rebutting B*sh positions, and get them on tv.
This is not a tactic. It's democracy in action.

3. I don't think their ads are politically "savvy" in general. They pretty
much preach to the choir in my opinion.

4. Do you think only people who think Bush broke the law watch CNN?
CNN is watched by a broad spectrum of people. Their ad about the deficit, with the children working in various jobs, was brilliant. Millions of people saw it. They do an excellent job. If they didn't exist we would be begging someone to invent them.

5. Yup they can roll that one out for every hearing.
It is going to stick in peoples minds all the way to November. I'm not talking out of my hat either. The C-Span callers after the hearing were 80% bothered by this FISA skirt dance.

7. I agree. This issue concerns a large section of the population. We need
to roll with this in a very big way.

6. Of coures CNN is a broad audience. But I think most of what they do is too
obviously partisan to influence anyone other than the people who already agree with them. That is what I mean when I say they are preaching to the choir.

That said, this new commercial is good because I believe the issue is bipartisan and the ad reflects that.
