Ole ed was responding to news reports that many Iraq War Vets are coming home and running for congress as Democrats. Old ed blathered on about "table-top issues." And start doing a littler counter battery work of our own! Some anti swift boat work as it were. The chickenhawks hate to see that retiree id card slapped down on the table after they've blabbed on about their patriotism. I've not dug too deep into the local vet community politics wise but there are a bunch around here in South Mississippi and South Louisiana. My congressman, Gene Taylor is a Democrat and a Coast Guard Vet and I think the last thing any local wants to do is question his service. He's a banty rooster. I've been lucky enough to get a few LTTE's published. Most of the news, (damn near all of it) right now is hurricane recovery related but I know things will heat up as we get closer to the elections in November. I'm standing by to fire. The last thing chickenhawks will get from me is fair winds and following seas. Take care shipmate.

how bush has been right on the economy and tax cuts and table top issues for five years now. So if a Soldier comes back from the field of battle and has seen bush's work up close and personal and wants to run for public office but is not "right" on the economy he has been warned he will be swift boated, plain and simple. As the Band of Brothers have said - bring it on!
