GOP wants to "bloody" Hillary "in anticipation of 2008 presidential run"
Top Rove aide meets with Senator Clinton challenger

RAW STORY

A top aide to Karl Rove met with a conservative Republican running against Senator Hillary Clinton to "discuss campaign strategy," according to a story set to run in Thursday's New York Post, RAW STORY has learned.

While John Spencer, former Mayor of Yonkers, if he wins the Republican primary, isn't expected to beat Clinton, the GOP hopes "he can do enough to bloody her in anticipation of a possible 2008 presidential run." According to the New York Post, the meeting came about after Rove's office "reached out" to Spencer last week to get him to support Bush's war strategy in Iraq.

Excerpts from the article written by Post Correspondent Kenneth Lovett:

Top Rove aide Sara Taylor and one of her staffers met for an hour at the White House yesterday with former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer--the leading contender for the GOP nomination to challenge Clinton--to discuss campaign strategy, said Spencer aide Kevin Collins.

Sara Taylor (born 1975) is the White House political director, one of George W. Bush's top political aides.

The pollster played a major role in both Bush presidential victories and is now poised to have a hand in a variety of major Senate and gubernatorial races in 2006. She began her political career as a toddler, helping her dad, Ray Taylor, a former Iowa state representative.

She is a graduate of Drake University. During her time at Drake, Taylor held the position of National Co-Chairman of the College Republicans. She was nicknamed Corn-Fed by her companions because of her Iowa heritage.

The same article mentions that Rove never completed college.
I'm shocked. :sarcasm:

Another source of information:

5. Hillary has been through enough bloodying to fight back well!
I guess I understand it's Roves job to do what ever he can to the opponents, and most of what he does is Cheap Shot tactics, but I wouldn't worry too much about HIllary being able to withstand that kind of crap. She's had a lot of experience, and both Hill and Bill learned a lot! I think they'll do quite well in fighting back!

Incompetence at every level....

<snip>
NASA public affairs official George C. Deutsch, who has been accused of exerting political pressure on agency scientists, resigned his position late Tuesday, the space agency said.

NASA Press Secretary Dean Acosta declined to say Wednesday why Deutsch left his job. But he said Deutsch, 24, claimed to be a journalism graduate from Texas A&M University, something the university denied.

University spokesman Lane Stephenson said: "Our registrar's office tells us he attended Texas A&M, but he did not receive a degree."<Snip>
