Question to ask people who insist Bush has right to tap without warrant
"When Hillary Clinton becomes president, will you defend her right and power to wiretap without a warrant?"

2. Seriously, that's why Grover Norquist is objecting to this spy policy
Not the tax policy, just the spy policy.

4. At least he's consistent
These guys need to be reminded that in our system of government, we don't give presidents unlimited power and then hope that they can be trusted with it. We have checks and balances precisely because we want to reduce the margin of error in our assessment of our leaders' degree of trustworthiness. And we don't switch back and forth between various standards depending upon our comfort level with a particular leader.

If Hillary Clinton shouldn't be trusted with this amount of power, neither should Bush - or any other president.

As if you'd be spied on . . .

I'm kind of amused at the people in this country who are having a tizzy fit because they think President Bush is "spying" on them. They must hold themselves in such high esteem, believing that their conversations are so important that the government would take an interest in what they are saying.

As for me, I'm thrilled that our president is doing everything possible to keep me safe -- which, by the way, is no more than other wartime presidents have done.

BEVERLY XXXXXXXXXXX, Tualatin

6. They won't care:in their minds there will be no more Democratic Presidents
at least, that's what they think.

I am not kidding you. Karl Rove has secured the permanent majority.

We are going to prove them wrong.
