DLC Defenders: Where Are You Now? Are You Helping to Fight Back?
Edited on Fri Feb-10-06 02:29 PM by radio4progressives
Are you calling on the Dems to DEFEND OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES today????

Are you demanding that Democratic Senators support Feingold's fight to remove the most egregious provisions in the Patriot Act? I don't recall any of you involved in helping with the filibuster on Alito on this board.

And I don't see you engaged in support of what Feingold is trying to do.

Where the hell are you now?

6. After all....
It's not important to actually do what Feingold asks...what's important is "Can we use ti to demonize other people in the Democratic party?" </sarcasm>

7. BRILLIANT. We need an anti-DCL oath in the DU signup so we can
keep the repug-lite DINOs off the effin board.

3. Look. At this point I view myself as an American.
Screw the DLC. If they are the leaders...why aren't they taking the lead? The rat bastards need to grab a clue.

Peace.

8. In defense of the DLC
Their plan to lead America to a complete One Party System is certainly in line with fiscal conservatism. We could eliminate 1000s upon 1000s of tax-payer funded jobs in the Judicial and Legislative Branches. I'm not even sure we'd need but more than a skeleton Congress, if that.

A Unitary Executive and a stacked Supreme Court.

Think of the money we could save.

12. puhleeze
The Senate passed a revised version months ago, that was supported by the ACLU and conservative groups as well. I posted on it several times, and all I got in response from the left was filibuster the Patriot Act, no Patriot Act, bla bla bla. They refused to listen to common sense then and help push the Senate bill so the public would understand there was a good alternative. NOW you want to pretend the LEFT has been the leader on this issue? Blow me. Just one more example of the left killing the opportunity for progress and then claiming to be martyrs in the fight.
