Which 2nd term President hasn't faced a serious threat to his Presidency?
With Clinton, Impeachment
Reagan, Iran Contra
Nixon, Resigned
Johnson, does he actually qualify?

It seems to me that if you beat your opponent to get into the WH, the again to stay for another term in the WH, the attacks become so viscious that is staying in the WH for a 2nd term really worth it? I say - leave after the 1st term with most of your dignity or reputation in tact.

Of course, Bush II doesn't have either, he is definetly the exception.

1. * is on the team that launches the attacks
His daddy is their Grand Poobah.

Reagan was never really touched by Iran Contra (though he was touched in other ways). He should have been impeached,
but wasn't for the same reasons Bush is evading true justice.

2. It just seems the 2nd term is the kiss of death.
Although Reagan escaped impeachment, he still was in the hot seat for much of his 2nd term. The funny thing is though that Clinton was impeached on lying about a blow job, while all of the others with much more serious allegations escaped impeachment. Nixon came closet to it, but resigned instead.

Bush II isn't the 1st Republican President that has done serious damage and acted illegally, yet the Dems seem so inept at getting these guys. You have to hand it to the Repubs, they made a blow job into an impeachment. Too bad we can't do the same.

I just hope Bush II gets impeached AT LEAST!

3. No, the GOP are looking so stupid - but they don't know
what to do.

They threw a fit until Clinton was impeached, but are having a heck of a time trying to rationalize why W with his lies causing thousands of our troops deaths, shouldn't be.

The GOP believe a blow job equates 2,267 of our troops deaths? W needs to be gone.

4. The GOP owns the media and staged a coup on Congress
It's not difficult to bully things your way when you're holding a rocket launcher over everyone's head. Sociopaths have no special skill beyond heartlessness and having no morals.
