Buddy, can you spare an impeachment?
There is a tactic employed in negotiations called "Always ask for more than you think you will get."
The point of doing this is that you can then enter the negotiation and make concessions and still come out about where you need to be.

During my three years of canvassing door to door for Citizen Action affiliated groups I used this technique daily at the doors when raising money. I mostly was canvassing on Health Care Reform, and people really supported it. I might say something like "Folks are getting on board and backing up their support with a check for $60 dollars." Often people would reply with something like, "I can't do $60 but I can do $40." Great! At the next door, I might ask for $40 and the person would give me $25

The bottom line is that if you ask everybody all evening to give you $60, you end up with a lot more money at the end of the night than if you asked everybody to do $40. And you definitely don't get anything at all unless you ask for it.

Which brings me to my question. Is anyone asking Repos to impeach? Or are we avoiding taking the fight to them?

4. Impeachment seems to encompass the whole macro struggle.
And I think the road to the mid-terms is through impeachment. But only if we physically and electronically take the impeachment demand to the Repos.

Thanks for your kind words :)

2. It Isn't a Partisan Issue
THE pRESIDENT HAS USURPED THE POWERS THAT THE CONSTITUTION GRANTS TO CONGRESS!
The only way for Congress to re-assert those powers is to IMPEACH!

7. I could spare several.
Yes. Ask and ye shall receive, so says the Scriptural passage.

I think the subject is WELL WORTH broaching with EVERYONE.

With Dems: You might find sympathetic ears. And if you don't now, give it a couple of days.

With Independents: Go ahead. Bring it up. You might find sympathetic ears here, too. Some of them may just be sitting there waiting for somebody to mention it straight out, rather than having that 9,000 pound gorilla in the room over there that everyone's still pretending not to notice.

With republi-CONS: ABSOLUTELY go ahead! They need to know this is churning out there, like gangbusters, and gaining momentum by the minute. Even if it isn't, where you are, they need to be made to THINK that it is. They won't unless you bring it up straight into their faces. They NEED to know that the guillotine blade has moved down a lot lower to the backs of their necks than they realized. Besides, you never know. You just might be the tipping point - and embolden another Heather Wilson or some other not-completely-lost soul. Redemption IS possible! Souls CAN be saved!

And with Dems already moving toward this, or firmly here now: All you'll be doing is adding more calcium supplement to their backbones. What we DON'T want to do is leave folks like this thinking they're out there alone, at the end of a long, thin, shaky limb, or trying to scream out in a vacuum. LET THEM KNOW HOW MUCH SUPPORT AND SOLIDARITY THERE IS BEHIND THEM. Help support their spines. They need to know somebody's got their back. This will do it.
