Need DU's Help with SHEELER (D- RI) campaign

Dear DU,

Carl now has some of your attention as he takes on the RW-spin machine and tries to unseat Lincoln Chaffee to become our voice in Rhode Island. I hope that some of you like what you are seeing. He is truly DU's candidate - not afraid to speak truth to to power, not afraid to take on the corporate meduia, and above all not afraid to spread the word that we all need to see in print and hear on TV. LIE.

Carl is the ideal combination of Dean, Kucinich, and the Big Dog. And he has no DLC baggage. I hope you like what you see.

If you do, can you please help me get the attention of some of the other blogs?

We need to expand Carl's net presence to Kos, Huffington, and Atrios. Can each of you that support Carl's efforts please choose one of those three sites, and hammer the message? If nothing else, just repeat Carl's tagline:

Bush Lied, People Died. He need to be tried.

Carl will really appreciate this. We need to put pressure on the blogs and thereby, the MSM, to pick up the ball and do some running. With your help, the additional exposure can be obtained.

All I am asking for is three e-mails. If you are really ambitious, hit Air America too.

It's a small step for you, but a big step toward defeating Cheffee and winning back the Senate. And only then, can impeachment begin.

I'm hoping that bartcop (another hero of mine) will give some PR to Carl. I've posted Carl's web site on another blog that I frequent, and I've sent his web site to a bunch of people. I hope all DUers do the same!

2. I've sent Carl's website to friends and asked them to forward to their

lists ~ also, I have a friend who posts on a lot of the war veterans' blogs who support Veterans running for office. I'll forward it to her (and her veteran husband) also.

Has anyone emailed it to Old American Century? I'm sure they would be interested in his campaign. I'll email them the link to his site ~

I left a message in one of the other threads about AAR's Majority Report. They are featuring, together with Daily Kos, a veteran running as a Democrat every Tuesday night. If a lot of people email them, that would be a great place for him to go. Maybe his campaign manager could call AAR?

Ed Schultz is another show he might want to contact ~ I think Ed would be willing to have him on.

Check out this site www.talknation.org. They do great interviews with prominent people, although it is a very small radio station in Conn. I'll email them. Not sure if it would help, but I'm sure there are many others like that, probably in RI also. Maybe check the colleges, some of them have radio broadcasts.
