Since my dinner's well digested, I peeked in at Freeperville on the OOPS!
Some of the standout (or typical posts) quotes...

No big deal. He just shot a lawyer.

What do you call 1000 lawyers full of buckshot? Not full enough.

E X A C T L Y The headline should have been "Cheney Shoots Lawyer" Wait... "Cheney Shoots Reptile" "Cheney Goes Varmit Hunting. Bags One." Others?

Too bad it wasn`t a liberal emboldened psycho Islamic cartoon protestor.

Cheney's a poor shot, he let a lawyer walk away.

"Chenney Shoots Lawyer: Poll Show This Is The Start Of A Successful Presidential Bid"
sic

Cheney's version of tort reform.

6. I hate to beat a dead horse, but can you imagine the hue and cry from the
right-whiners if the nephew of the friend of the next door neighbor of Bill Clinton had committed the same faux pas?

7. I peeked in on Glocktalk and basically the same
mostly jokes about shooting a lawyer. Most are giving him a pass. A few brave souls are pointing out it was his responsibility and that many there commented that Kerry had poor gun handling skills in photos they saw in '04 election season but don't take Cheney to task for actually shooting a man.

Hypocrites!

Imagine if Kerry or some other Dem had done this! And if it had happened I hope we wouldn't be the same.

8. How strange
Cheney shots a man and "many there commented that Kerry had poor gun handling skills in photos! Did it ever occur to them that our Navy was satisfied with the Senator'sgun handling skills? His friends also seem to emerge unscathed when they hunt with him. (I'm positive we would still be hearing about it if there wer even the slightest problem involving Kerry. )

9. They can try to joke
about the guy being a lawyer, but the fact is, that lawyer was one of them. He was a bigtime donor to Bush and Cheney and he was Cheney's buddy.

Cheney showed that he's as incompetant as he is evil.

10. Why is it..
Edited on Mon Feb-13-06 05:01 AM by benny05
that people who have gun licenses don't have to prove they know how to shoot them before getting a license?

And this is analogus to the Iraq war...people who started it don't know a damn thing about weapons, and about body armor either.
