In the glorious tradition of No Child Left Behind, Intelligent Design, denial of global warming, lipservice to science teaching, dismantling of most environmental oversight and enforcement functions, and protection of corporations from litigation, President George W. Bush, in his proposed budget for 2007, has cut all funding for the massive National Children's Study, a project approved in 2000. Here is the summary statement of the project, from their website:

The National Children's Study will examine the effects of environmental influences on the health and development of more than 100,000 children across the United States, following them from before birth until age 21. The goal of the study is to improve the health and well-being of children.

This is an outrage.

And a lot of people who are concerned about autism and asthma will be pissed off if the word gets out.

1. The word is out
We've been sold out by W and those who support him. They pretty well have sold us down the river, as well as our children and grandchildren.

Asthma is sky rocketing in urban industrial sites. W is eliminating their health programs.

W and his bushbots are enemies of our children.

2. This really does it
america is now officially a cannibal state. Destroying the minds and bodies or children so corporations can make profits.
Learning disabilities; mood disorders; autism; childhood cancers; allergies and sensitivities are just some of the problems we are bestowing upon the kids.
Parents who do not object to this though are aiding and abetting.
