Dems should not agree with letting FISA courts oversee spying?
Oversight is still a responsibility of Congress and they would be shirking their Constitutional responsibilities by passing it along to FISA court. What if they stack the FISA court? Congress should not go along with this idea of Arlen Specter, in my opinion.

1. That's the entire reason the FISA court was created.
I agree with letting it have the oversite responsibility for wire-taping.

2. I disagree...
The FISA court was not created to replace Congress but as a go-between to determine if eavesdropping was legal and necessary by case.

3. I agree with FISA having oversight. The IVth says searches can't be
unreasonable - and guess who usually determines what is and isn't reasonable?

Judges - I have no problem with this...I just want ONE other branch having oversight.

4. Yes - FISA is there for a purpose. To make sure laws are followed.
This stinks of a GOP wedgie.

The issue with the spying is that it was warrantless. No review. Not that the security services of the USA sometimes need to tap their own citizens.
