My brother's answer to complaints about a liberal media...short and sweet
"If the media is liberal it's because the facts are liberal"

Don't know if he heard that elsewhere, but I like it

2. It would be better if
"Liberal Media" was a fact. Unfortunately...

But it is true that conservative complaints about "liberal media", have everything to do with inconvenient realities rather than bias.

3. "The facts are biased" - Rob Corddry
Corddry: How does one report the facts in an unbiased way when the facts themselves are biased?

Stewart: I’m sorry, Rob, did you say the facts are biased?

Corddry: That’s right Jon. From the names of our fallen soldiers to the gradual withdrawal of our allies to the growing insurgency, it’s become all too clear that facts in Iraq have an anti-Bush agenda.

6. My contention is that if the media were truly liberal, Bush would
not be the resident of the White House today.

7. Damn that liberal media!
If it weren't for Rush and Fox News, nobody would ever hear the truth at all. :sarcasm:

8. That's Michael Parenti's theory
The Earth really is getting warmer. We really do spend more on the Pentagon every year and a half than the War On Poverty has spent in 40 years. We really do have 45 million citizens without health insurance. Iraq really is a financial, diplomatic, and humanitarian disaster. Wealth really is becoming more and more concentrated. No matter how much the media tries to push Rove's lies, it is impossible to change those facts.

11. Doesn't Parenti say something more along the lines of
'i say radical things because reality is radical'?

13. That could be it -
of course he also says that those who are called "extremists" actually want very reasonable things like jobs, clean air and water, health insurance, public funds used for public resources, etc.

10. I say
Then I guess you'd like to bring back the fairness doctrine.....that way both sides have equal time for their views to be heard. Right? Right?

Oh, No, of course they don't want that because they (right wingers) know damn well that liberals don't have equal access. They are to stupid to realize (they think they are winning) that even they don't it's all about the corporation$ that's who controls the Mainstream Media.
