1. Excellent catch!
Wonder how much this year's disaster cost the taxpayers?

2. Why on EARTH would the VP spokeswoman need to be anonymous?
"A spokeswoman for Cheney in Washington, D.C., who declined to identify herself..."

WTF?

3. No, different ranch and county
That account says Willacy County, and the ranch where he went human shooting was in Kennedy County, according to the reports I have seen.

But hey, the bastard likes to hunt...or shoot, I should say. Gunning down tamed, fat birds is not hunting, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

7. From your assertion, I have been able to divine that Kennedy is actually
PART of Willacy...or at least this is how it is reading to me. I guess "Kennedy" has no relation to the slain president, which is what one generally assumes, but instead was created eons prior. http://www.rgvezc.org/willacy.htm

Located in between those fifty miles are many of the great cattle ranching operations of South Texas. Among them are the King Ranch, Kennedy Ranch, Armstrong Ranch and the Yturria Ranch. Willacy County was created in 1921 from portions of Cameron, Hidalgo and Kennedy Counties. Prior to the turn of the century most of the Rio Grande Valley was similar to the brush country that exists today in Kennedy and northern Willacy Counties.

So, good gravy, I stand completely corrected. I'm certainly no TX history expert, as I have rather compellingly demonstrated!

All it does it make it worse for Ole Deadeye, in the end! Here I was, trying to be fair, and damn, the boy was stomping over those hunting grounds long before he decided to level that lawyer!

6. It was only because they finally had no choice
but to take the guy to the hospital. Otherwise, we would have never heard a peep.
