"Following Hackett's withdrawal, Republican Senator Mike DeWine has gained ground in his campaign for re-election. DeWine now leads Democratic Congressman Sherrod Brown by nine percentage points, 46% to 37% (see crosstabs).

A month ago, DeWine was ahead by five points, 45% to 40%."

I am certain we can change these numbers by the next polling cycle!

4. Another spectacular move by our Dem leadership.
I thought he got booted in order to improve Sherod's chances?

5. Ohioans will send a Democrat to the U.S. Senate in 2006.
DeWine is a goner.

Rasmussen lists to the right. The footwork on the senate race is only just beginning. Brown is well-positioned, reasonably well-funded, and is running in a year when so far the political dialogue is running heavily against Bush particularly and the GOP generally.

Brown wins in Ohio in November.
