Hey, I was driving across rural Texas, there was little to choose from.
However, it was a very interesting segment. He was all bothered about selling the ports to the company from UAE. As he should be. After blathering on about it for a long time, he interviewed Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has called for an investigation into the sale. They actually agreed on many points and Savage praised him often. After the interview Savage said that although he had never agreed with Sen. Schumer before, he was 100% right about this issue and the listeners should support him.
I think that caused heads to explode in the listening audience, because the callers that came on afterwards all sounded a little shell-shocked. The idea that a Democrat could be right on any issue just did not fit into their narrow little world view. "Hey Mike, I thought you were conservative?", one caller asks. Savage replies that he is, but that many Republicans in Washington are not really conservatives, and that Bush in particular is not very conservative. More heads exploding. "Mike, you can't be serious! What are you saying?", "Why are you listening to Democrats? You know you can't trust them", etc, etc.
It was really quite hilarious to listen to Michael Savage, of all people, get exasperated trying to get his audience to listen to facts. They were having none of it.
