Bush is so aggravating when he speaks
NPR had him on while I was driving home and he was making a big deal about being the only one in Washington working on President's Day. This would be like someone who just ate a 9 course meal congradulating himself on skipping desert. How people can find this arrogant ass charming is beyond me.

3. Good, that will make up for all the times he is off on vacation.
I hardly think doing PR for himself and speaking for a few minutes is hard work. Then he gets on palatial Air Force One to be flown to the White House where he doesn't have to lift a finger. Oh, the poor little overworked boy.

8. THat's his trademark
he's the stupidest, most incompetent man on Earth, and yet still manages to be arrogant. That's what comes from having everything handed t oyou your entire life.

12. I liken him to a brain-damaged school janitor, explaining the
workings of some bit of equipment in the science lab to the gifted class that has been using that equipment for the last several semesters. It's a combination of that attitude, and someone trying to speak English to someone who doesn't have the language. You know, if you say those words SLOWLY and DELIBERATELY, somehow, the meaning will be made clear. And, heh, heh, if they STILL don't get it, just say those same words LOUDER....

17. Arrogance often attends stupidity. These people are incapable
of grasping how much they don't know!

5. and as usual he gets his facts wrong
who else is working in Washington DC?

Probably police, taxi drivers, garbage men (they worked here, why not in DC) probably alot of restaurants and stores are open, soldiers at Andrews AFB (and the ones you sent to Iraq ya fumbduck), emergency rooms and nurses at hospitals and nursing homes. Nice of Bush to forget all about them, since, as ordinary Americans, they don't count. He didn't even know they were there. Oh, and radio and tv annoucers are working too.

7. One of his most aggravating speaking traits is when he
says "ay" for a and "thee" for the . As in thee car, or ay vote. He doesn't do it every time either.

I think it's a sign of his psychosis.

9. Especially when the words have been heard before.
He never has an original thought. His voice annoys me so much I put the TV on mute and turn my head. Childish, I know, but he has ruined too many of my evenings. He is capable of starting me on a rant. Proof of the Peter Principle. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!

10. Are you talking about that fake sorta-southern-sounding noise he makes
as he spits and drools all over himself while making painful faces?

I suppose you could call it speech.

13. He charms people who are really stupid by acting stupid himself
and it makes them feel like they can relate to him. His arrogance also appeals to all the bottom feeders of the earth. They find his arrogance and stupidity an irresistable combination.
