The "Duh!" Moment of the Day - bin Laden tape helped * in "election"
Is this what passes for as news nowadays? Is there anyone who thinks that the release of the tape (whether or not orchestrated by the Whitehouse) helped * steal his second election....

Bush says bin Laden tape aided re-election: report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush said his 2004 re-election victory over Sen. John Kerry was inadvertently aided by Osama bin Laden, who issued a taped diatribe against him the Friday before Americans went to the polls, The Examiner newspaper reported on Tuesday

"I thought it was going to help," Bush said. "I thought it would help remind people that if bin Laden doesn't want Bush to be the president, something must be right with Bush."

1. * is really that stupid isn't he...??
So now Bin Laden determines who our president is?

And now * is basically thanking him for his reelection...This truely is the Twilight zone!!

Q But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him . . . I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him.

10. Kerry says he was polling to win before Osama tape
and I believe that Bushco held onto Osama tape to release it as October surprise, right? At least that's how I remember it at the time>

<snip>

Senator Kerry shared his views on the last election. He admitted he had made some mistakes, particularly not spending enough money to push back against the lies they were telling about his military record. Still, he said that he was winning that election with just a few days to go when a recording of Osama surfaced. The media talked about nothing else for several days, and it flattened out his momentum. He felt that it cost him just enough votes in Ohio to save Karl Rove from looking like the poor strategist he really is. I have my own theory about Ohio, but then I have a theory about Florida too, if Al Gore ever wants to hear it.

3. Except Western MSM censored the tape...
In the full transcript (on al-Jazeera website) bin Laden says that B*sh is helping al-Qaeda.

11. Yep, check it out:
al-Jazeera: http://tinyurl.com/5529l
CNN: http://tinyurl.com/5723p

There is an enormous amount missing from the CNN version: between the end of the fourth to last paragraph and the beginning of the third to last paragraph is where it should be. I won't post it here as it's quite a long read.

12. Bin laden wanted him to win
Edited on Tue Feb-28-06 04:02 PM by rniel
If he is alive. He wants bush more than anything. Only bush will take the bait for the trap he's laid out for us. Bin Laden wanted to bankrupt us and keep us bogged down in Iraq to help fundamentalist Muslims rise to power.

It's already working.
