"Stay the course" - The latest from cheney
on CBS radio news just now. "Quitting is not an option." Why the hell don't these neocon bastards ever ask for their supporters to step up to the plate, raise their right hands and turn in their chickenhawk credentials for boots and a rifle? Just who the fuck is going to help you stay the (wrong) course dick, young republicans?

1. Quitting not an option, but getting your ass fired by the monkey is
a distinct possibility, Little SureShot!

I swear, if he can't pull his numbers up, his ass is gone, and McCain gets his seat.

Then McCain will run with minimum opposition in the GOP Prez primary, and put Allen on the ticket as his VP....

4. I believe
McCain's age will be a factor. He'll be 72 in 08.

7. He'll just toss Reagan atcha, and brush it aside
The old "I won't hold my opponent's youth and inexperience against him" blurb. Old folks vote, too, and he'd pick up some support simply BECAUSE he is older and has all his marbles, more or less.

He's gotta keep that cancer tamped down, that is the real thing that will hose him up.

9. I'm an "old folk"
and I would hold his age against him. I had so many reasons not to support reagan that age was never a factor in my decisions on that person.

14. Boss, I'm one too
And I'll tell ya, for every one of us that sees it as an issue, there will be just as many that look at it the other way. And if he cleverly picks some fresh faced bastard like Allen to "balance the ticket" the theme will be thus: Ole Cap'n John is trainin' the young-un so he is up to speed, just in case our war hero buys the farm...."

Also, if McCain gets IN THE DOOR as replacement VP, the age matter will fade, particularly if he does a credible job. Once you are in, the whole perspective changes. The media covers you as the anointed, not a contender.

I'm not rootin' for him either, but that's his best shot at the brass ring. If I were him, with the goal of running the joint, I'd take it if I could get it.

3. I had a young repug in my neighboorhood .....
..... he was getting signatures to run for something ..... I offered to drive him to the
recruiting station right then and there ..... for skinny little white dude (his mother was
driving him) boy did he make tracks.

We have to have at least 150,000 college repugs in this country ..... they can be in Iraq with in
6 months and our troops can come home.

5. It just shows you that
they are answering their question, but they are dealing with the wrong argument.

It's not about quitting. It's about making the best decision, based on the circumstances we now face in Iraq.

This is just propaganda, and it's part of the black/white all/or nothing mentality. "Quitting" is meant to push some Pride buttons among Americans, also shame and guilt buttons. "We don't cut and run".

Bush keeps talking about "complete victory" in Iraq, but nobody knows what that means.

12. What else is he going to say? "We made a horrible mistake,
the Arabs are smarter than we are, and now we don't know what to do!" No, instead, he says "Quitting is not an option." They will say this until they quit.
